We were in Ashland for one night only and wanted Indian. Went with Masala, and so glad we did. Atmosphere and quality of the food was outstanding. Highly recommend getting a Thali to sample all the dishes. The Cauliflower Manchurian was to die for—I don’t even have words. My wife enjoyed her cocktail, but I had pretty flat Diet Coke. Still, didn’t dent our experience here.

There are some Indian restaurants in our area and although their food is good, their bright pink and orange decor create a non-relaxing atmosphere and the service is always lacking. So much so that my husband and I don’t try to return. We made a reservation and got a nice spot by the window. The decor was tasteful and really matched the welcoming vibe. The staff was phenomenal. They were attentive, made great recommendations and very friendly & kind. I am so excited to have a favorite Indian food restaurant. Without a doubt we will be returning and will recommend to anyone looking for an Indian restaurant!

We have eaten Indian food all over the world, including India. Our meal at Masala was amazing. The kitchen took the dishes to a different level, most certainly inspired by the traditional recipes, but unlike any that we have ever had. And then we need to give kudos to the servers. They were attentive and friendly and could speak directly to every dish that was presented. Thank you Amanda. Such a delightful experience!

Really delicious food – the lamb roganjosh is to die for! Our waiter was super nice and I got special attention for my birthday. The tablet used for my credit card didn’t add the tip, so I drove back to pay it – it was that good.

This restaurant is amazing. The spices are fresh, pungent, and add to the dishes. The food is diverse and delicious. I had chickpea Masala, which came with delicately seasoned rice and generous helpings of salads. Servers are charming and helpful. Atmosphere is very nice. The Mumbai Margarita’s are to die for :).

Outstanding!! I was blown away by my meal and that doesn’t happen very often. Perfect seasoning! Nice beer selection on tap. Friendly service. Masala does Indian superbly. Will definitely be back.

Can’t believe I haven’t tried this place before! Everything was soo delicious, I had lamb masala made with coconut milk, and tried the cauliflower and naan bread. They let you choose mild, medium, or spicy and the flavors and portions were perfection. Masala is the hidden gem of ashland restaurants.
