I had a young lady (Heather) that was great! I wasn’t in a very good mood when I got there, but she made me forget the negatives of the day. She was helpful, kind and patient. She recommended the baked steak (good choice) with a loaded baked potato (real bacon) and cole slaw (I’m picky) and it was pretty good. It came with a roll (huge). I had to add sugar to my sweet tea (I’m from the deep south), but it had a good flavor. The banana cream pie was excellent and the coffee is pretty good. I’ll go again if I’m in the area, but the waitress will have to be exceptional, Ms. Heather set the bar pretty high. Give them a try, you can thank me later.

I went to Mary B’s with my uncle. He and his lady goes quite often and I had never been there. We ate dinner my 1st night and the ribeye was excellent and mashed potatoes were real and good. The peas could use a little seasoning I put a little chicken base in my green beans and my peas to give a hint of flavor. I got coconut pie and chocolate cake to go and both were excellent. And homemade you could certainly tell that . The next morning we did breakfast at Mart B’s and I did an omelet with no meat and shredded potatoes with onions and again just excellent. The biscuit was huge and definitely a west virginia biscuit. Light and fluffy biscuits are not a real biscuit. You need the Mary B’s 6oz biscuit. Everything was excellent. Don’t waste your time at the red barn or other places because Mary B’s is the best. Thank you Mary B’s restaurant and staff. I was born at Camden Clark and don’t get back to parkersburg often since I was raised as an ohioan. But I’ll be back to Mary B’s.

I love this restaurant. It is one of my favorites. Good food, great service. Lately though I’ve been disappointed in the salad I’ve gotten there. They put large, hard pieces of lettace in it. These pieces of lettace are difficult to eat, spiney, and do not taste good at all.

Wow! Best omelette ever! And the biscuits “forget about it” just unbelievably good food at a great value. Super fast too, thought they brought us someone else’s food cause it came out so quick. Definitely worth checking out if you are passing through the area.
