Outstanding Ramen, excellent Sake and fantastic service! This is a cool spot in a very interesting food court called Sky Deck in Del Mar.

The restaurant is good in general. I have been all Ramen places in San Diego, this place didn’t disappoint me. We ate Tonkotsu Ramen regular and DX and Mentaiko Bowl. I don’t think there is much difference between regular and DX Ramen except it has corns. Mentaiko Bowl was also good, but rice was more than mentaiko to mix, so I had to leave some rice. Other than that, taste was very good and the staff was kind. I will visit again later.

Came here for dinner around 19:00 as a small party of three. Got onto the waitlist, but didn’t have to wait long. Got hot saki, beer, and water for drinks. We ordered appetizers (Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki, and Gyoza), and ramen. I ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu with mild spice, and extra chashu, green onion, and nori. The chashu was not true chashu, but was still good and flavorful. The noodles were the thin straight noodles, which I like the most. Although you can’t choose the firmness of the noodles (the length of time cooked). I prefer my noodles firm. The broth of the tonkotsu was as expected, heavy and flavorful. My wife ordered the Spicy Ramen, which had lettece (topping not typical for ramen), and thicker noodles (close to udon noodles). Everything was really delicious. The restaurant is in a large area with other restaurants, sharing the overall environment and atmosphere. Would definitely come back again for the ramen, but also try the other dishes.

Nestled in the back corner of the Sky Deck – a modern, luxury food court. We went at 7pm on a Friday and it was pretty busy. We added our name to the list online and checked in when we got there but we still had to wait 20 minutes after checking-in in person. We ordered the Spicy Tantan Men, Chashu Bowl, and Hakata Tonkotsu DX. I don’t think the bowl was very good. The spicy Tantan Men was good; I’ve never had chicken ramen before. And the Tonkotsu had a nice, rich broth.

My friend doordashed me ramen because I’m sick and found out the piece of pork belly was all fat. Pretty sure I got an end piece that should have been scrapped.

I got the hakata tonkotsu, medium spice, and gyozas. The ramen broth was good and flavorful. The egg wasn’t a seasoned egg that I usually see at other ramen places but everything else in the ramen was great.

EXCELLENT ramen, if I wasn’t a 45 min walk from Mensho Tokyo I’m sure I’d be here all the time. Competition for ramen is tough out here. Broth is thick, gelatinous, plus astounding chashu. They don’t marinate their eggs which is a bit odd to me. Takeout is packaged for very high quality.

My first time to the Sky Deck and this wonderful ramen restaurant. It was a rainy windy day and this was the perfect scenario for a hot ramen lunch. I chose the spicy ground chicken ramen and it was perfect! Very flavorful broth and ingredients. Draft beer for $3.99. This lunch special is tough to beat. Service was great and friendly. Just go! Run don’t walk!
