West Tennessee’s legendary whole-hog BBQ tradition is the cornerstone of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. Pat Martin learned the art and craft of West Tennessee-style smoke and meat 25 years ago in the tiny town of Henderson, TN before making Nashville his home. It became a consuming passion that eventually led to a business when he opened the first Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint in October of 2006 in Nolensville, Tennessee – just south of Nashville.
We come in at 5 am, every day, seven days a week. From the sides to the sauces, everything is made from scratch every single day – You’ll never find a freezer or microwave in our kitchens. But the bar-b-que actually starts a day ahead, as the process for smoking whole hogs simply can’t be rushed.
Big roadhouse-style eatery known for its whole-hog pit-fired BBQ, with chicken, tacos & burgers. Based on 3 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.6 stars. Price $$

We came to this location for ease of parking. You order first, so we decided what we wanted with the great help from the gentleman at the desk. We ordered the Big Brother Sampler with a mix of dry rub and sauced ribs, fries and beans and also the brisket tacos with fries and slaw.

Our first time ever visiting Martin’s was on July 21st. We came from KY to go to the zoo and decided to check this place out too! & It was great! We got 2 pulled pork sandwiches and fries & for my kids, they had grilled cheeses and fries. I also got a togo order of a half a rack of ribs mac n cheese and potato salad. The mac and potato salad weren’t our favorite, but the BBQ was amazing! I would definitely eat here again. It was less than $60 for all of that food.

My fiance and I were in Nashville for the weekend and this place stood out after doing some research online. Only around $10 away from Broadway in a cab so not too far out, but enough to give a real good flavour of local living. Jack who took our order was an absolute star, if you could bottle his positive energy you’d be rich! The food was a 10/10. Much better than a burger on the strip, get out there and sample the real deal!

Martin’s is always, always delicious. Their meat truly is smoked to perfection. Their brisket is unbelievable. Great customer service as well.

I didnt get a picture of my food because I wasn’t expecting to bed to write a review. I ordered the baked potato and it was the BEST PULLED PORK I’ve ever had (I didn’t even need the sauce)! I also ordered a cup of chilli and I am glad I did for one, the potato wasn’t as big as others I’ve ordered but also because it was flavorful. My husband had the brisket sandwich and he definitely had food envy.

1st time here! We came on a Friday night around 7 pm and it wasn’t too busy. Order your food first and then take a seat. There is tons of seating available inside and outside. There is a separate line for the to go pick up orders. There’s some parking on the street and behind the building. Definitely recommend if in the area.

I know that it’s a franchise, but this place is awesome. Parking is on the side of the building. Food comes out quick. The meat is really tender and fallout of the bone. Staff is friendly. There was a line, but it moved fast. Salad was fresh and their special sauce was really good. Highly Recommended.

So my husband and I went to Martin’s on the Father’s Day weekend coming from Columbus Ohio! My husband had been wanting ribs for awhile now so, we stopped at Martin’s! We ordered the full slab of ribs that came with 3 sides. We ordered the greens beans, fries, and Mac and cheese. When I tell you the ribs “slap” (are the BOMB), I mean it!! We destroyed these ribs like nobody’s business lol! They are wonderful and the staff there was extra kind. They were so wonderful. We did not personally like the Mac and cheese but hey, our opinion doesn’t count for much, I would definitely try them for yourself as we all have different taste buds. The green beans we excellent as well. I did not get a picture of the sides because I was so focused on the ribs and taking pictures to make my family jealous . Anyhow, Martin’s is a 5 in my book regardless of what we thought about the Mac and cheese! The ribs alone are a 5 and the kind people. Definitely worth us traveling back to Nashville and eating there again.

Martin’s was awesome. I had the two meat plate and it delivered. The sauce they offer was really good as well. Service was excellent, great atmosphere, very impressed and this is coming from a Texan. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Nashville. Highly recommend if you want great BBQ and a great atmosphere.

What an amazing experience… I am from Texas but gotta say Tennessee hasn’t lost the southern hospitality.. Jack did an amazing job taking care of me. What an amazing young man. It was so sweet two little girls came up just to tell him bye. Good luck on your future kid.. Now on to the food. Chicken in better in Tennessee, but ribs are better in Texas. My honest opinion. Potatoe salad and baked beans out of this world amazing.. Great food and Southern Hospitality a rare gem… Enjoy
