One of my favorite places for good Italian food. We went there for a casual dinner. We were greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere is casual. The servers are always friendly and attentive. After our drink orders were taken we were treated to some delicious warm bread. Our main courses came out and were large and nicely presented. Each item was tasty and flavourful. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we had a nice lunch the next day.

1st visit and could not be more happy. Food was amazing, best chicken parm I’ve had. Garlic knots were to die for! Soup/salad were great and waitress was extremely friendly. Will certainly be back!

First time trying this place. My dinner was pretty good, however my husband said his meal had no flavor. We would be tempted to try again if the service and wait times were better – even though the place was not busy at all. There was one other table when we got there and during our wait another three tables were seated. The meals did not come out at the same time, a good 5 minutes before the second meal came out so planning could have been better.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I would have never posted publicly about this situation if management had handled this situation differently. A very close friend of mine and I decided to go to dinner here like we have many, many times in the past with no major issues. The server (Maddie) was amazing, like always. As we were eating our entrees, I noticed a dead bug in my meal. I pulled it to the side of my plate and waved my server over to our table. I subtly informed her of the situation, making sure other patrons weren’t alarmed by the terrible mishap. Upon returning to our table, it was stated that my meal would be taken care of since I did not want a replacement. Needless to say, my friend also lost her appetite and decided she no longer wanted her food in fear that she would have to “investigate” it before consuming. When our server relayed that message to the owner’s son, the response was, “since there was technically nothing wrong with her food, there’s nothing that can be done despite her not eating it.” Maddie informed us that the owner could be contacted if we weren’t satisfied and it wasn’t until we stated that we have photo proof of the bug in the food that we were told the entire bill (approximately $60) would be taken care of. The owner’s son finally approached us after about 20 minutes and stated in the most casual, nonchalant way, “Don’t worry about it, hun. Don’t worry about it. It’s taken care of.” Then just walked away. Not an apology, not an explanation, not anything. Extremely unprofessional and honestly a horrible way to conduct business. The only apologies received were from our server and from a bus boy. We absolutely tipped our server very well despite us not paying for anything, but we also expected some sort of apology from the management staff which we never received. The only reason I will never return or recommend this establishment to anyone is because of the poor handling of the situation. I feel that as soon as he was made aware of the situation, the manager should have approached us and had a conversation about what happened. I am a very forgiving and understanding person, but the fact that I never received any type of apology and instead a “don’t worry about it, hun” was enough to make me never return again.

Honestly not that impressed with their food. I’ve been eating here on and off for years and I feel like the quality has gone down but the prices went up. The service wasn’t that great either. If in going to pay $20+ for pasta I’ll go to Maplewood and have some really good pasta. As for pizza I’d go elsewhere too. Hopefully they bring their standards up to match their prices.

Head on over here to be presented with a meal, including an extra dose of protein from a meal worm. Then when you politely ask your server to let the manager know, the manager brushes it off like it’s nothing. Spend your money elsewhere because it’s not worth going here if the manager can’t acknowledge something that’s not sanitary.

Went in today and decided to try their margherita pizza, first time at Martinos ever ..got home and Jesus man this has to be the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life, not kiddin…cooked perfectly , great cheese , basil ,the crust..all of it perfect , would absolutely recommend , definitely found my new favorite place!
