I tried the ribs before buying as well as the potato salad both are absolutely terrific. And Nolan Marshall is a lot of fun to talk to. He’s also told me he’ll make barbecue chicken for me if I give him some notice and I’m excited about it. Five stars. I also love their location which is very down home and small town. This is the kind of barbecue I was looking for.

Good old fashion BBQ. The business is also known as “The come back BBQ” & originally started out years ago as a place for locals, friends & family to hang out for some good BBQ at another property site of the owner in Gatesville before moving to this more centralized location on the corner.

Marshall’s barbeque is an exceptional place to satisfy your craving at a great price. There’s either brisket, rib, or sausage basket (sandwich+chips) with your choice of chips: Cheetos, Fritos, Ruffles, etc. The side selections include either a super potato salad or beans. The drinks selections are iced down in several coolers which makes time waiting for your sandwich worthwhile on a hot day.

No rub on the brisket or ribs. Brisket was a little dry, tough, and had no flavor. Ribs were at least tender, but once again no real flavor. No seasoning, no smoke flavor, no smoke ring on the brisket.
