Such good food – great Italian fare with Italian wines. Small covered outdoor patio. Service was fast and courteous. Wonderful place to go.

It was my first time at Marotta’s, my husband has been before and loved it, so we decided to try it. Limited menu as it was a Sunday, pizza and salad only. From the moment we sat down, it was apparent that they were short staffed. We patiently waited to be addressed by our waiter, who was surly from the get-go. We didn’t bother him at all, patiently waiting a very long time for our pizzas. I was polite, as was my husband, but our waiter was not. When trying to get his attention for the check, the one time during our meal we tried, he completely ignored us. Wait staff can make or break a dining experience. We won’t be back. Waiter had a curly mustache, so likely same that another reviewer complained about.

Went on a Tuesday and am sad to say that we were disappointed. I ordered the carbonara, which was in an Alfredo sauce rather than being a carbonara, though the meal overall was fine. My partner got chicken florentine and didn’t like it. She was so disgusted by it that she had me try the chicken, which tasted like it was going bad. For $30+ per meal, I thought the quality, attention to detail, and health perspective of the food were all lacking.

Very, very rude waiter with the twirly moustache. This was the second time I walked out after being treated with a condensending attitude from the Twirly moustache waiter. It’s too bad, because I like food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, bad staff can ruin a good restaurant. I wonder how many other patrons have had bad experiences from this waiter.

Marottas was recommended to me as one of the best pizza places on the east side of Cleveland. We ordered the Malto Marotta pizza and unfortunately it was extremely dry and partially burn which overpowered the flavor of the pizza. Perhaps the pizzas with traditional red sauce are different, but from my experience this was not very good pizza and would not rank anywhere near the top pizza place on the east side of Cleveland.

Ho-ly wow…this is the best pizza I’ve ever had, it’s perfect. I’ve waited up to 3 hours (that’s how busy it can get some nights) for this pizza and it was STILL WORTH IT. The pizza is huge and could easily feed 4 very hungry people. I LOVE their sausage and normally I’m not a fan. Pure chance that I ordered from this place but it might be one of the happiest accidents to date. Fantastic ingredients, chewy/crispy crust, tons of cheese. Eventually I’m gonna have to try other parts of their menu but for now, this will be a great occasional treat.

The food is not great, pretty much a typical red sauce restaurant but priced like a higher end place in little Italy. We went in a large group and I wouldn’t recommend doing that.

I got an heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad, instead of the pizza. The pizza is supposed to be the thing to get, but I don’t know if I would go back. The restaurant is kind of expensive. We sat out back on the patio, where it was much cooler. The patio is just part of the parking lot that has an elaborate cover on it. I had a glass of prosecco, the salad special and split a gelato with my bf. I wasn’t sold on the gelato either. It was chocolate with berry sorbet on top. It didn’t mix well in my opinion but it’s a fun idea. The majority of the 80 dollar bill was for my bf’s chicken pramasian. It was $30, though there was enough for 2 meals. He brought half home and ate it the next day for a fulfilling meal. This place is probably pretty popular with a group of people in the neighborhood but I feel it’s a big Eh.

It is misleading that the restaurant states they close at 9 however when you get there passed 8 they will not seat you. Their statement is they close at 8 when online and their website states otherwise. Why have an establishment state you are open 5 hours but only serve for 4 of them?
