We travel thru Louisville on our way to Starkville. Tonight was our first visit with Market Cafe. The fried shrimp was delicious. Salad bar was fresh, clean and had a great selections. Service and atmosphere was fantastic!! We will be going back! Delicious rolls too!!

We sampled three of the appetizers because they looked so interesting. They didn’t disappoint. Fried green tomatoes, fried pimento cheese and collard green egg rolls. Typical Mississippi country food with a real funky creative twist.

Very nice place with a nice waitress. Their menu is a little more diverse then the usual Louisville eatery and they have reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy but they’re in need of a good busser to keep the tables clean and floor swept up. The food was tasty and the portion are generous. I’ll be sure to eat there again.

I try to eat here as often as I can. My wife and I love it. Southern cooking at its finest. Not just your typical Southern style food, this place has it’s own flavor and chef Johnny has his own style. You can have eggrolls stuffed with Collard Greens, a burger with Pimento Cheese or a Steak covered with shrimp and grits. I have been around around this country and ate at some of finest places you can. For the $ and quality, it doesn’t get any better than Market Cafe.

Ordered the filet. Was not a filet sirloin at best! WAS not a filet! Baked potato wasn’t cooked rock hard. Mississippi egg rolls were pretty good the BBQ shrimp also had very good flavor. Not worth the hype as whole. Will NOT be back again.
