The food was so good! Loved the chips and beans. Casual restaurant with delicious food. There is a lot of seafood on the menu along with burritos, tacos and other items with beef or chicken. Prices are average with the wet burrito around $10, asada tacos $3. Will definitely go back

Amazing!!! We stopped in for dinner while we were in the area. The food is SO good! They have a lot of unique menu items. We had the chile relleno and the camarones rancheros. Both were delicious. The food actually looked like the menu photos! Their homemade corn tortillas are delicious, huge and thick. Our waiter, Edgar, was terrific. He explained all the dishes we asked about and gave us some ideas of what to do while we are in town. I had a Paloma and it was far and away the best I’ve ever had. It’s even better than what I make at home, so Edgar gave me the secret. We are bummed that we live six hours away, but we’ll definitely be back!

We are new to Idaho, but both my wife and I were raised in the Central Valley of California and very much appreciate good Mexican food. We have lived for the last 7 years in Washington state and missed good Mexican food. This was a VERY good surprise find. The food was outstanding and service extremely friendly. I had steak fajitas and my wife had seafood. Both were excellent and well seasoned. Hers was especially tasty and a huge portion. We also had the margaritas and they too were very good. We both can’t wait to go back and try more of the house specialties.

This place on the weekends is insanely business, and I see why the food is delicious. The service is not so great. They need more servers. The music was not blaring. We could actually hear ourselves talking. Plan on going before noon. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself waiting in line outside. Highly recommend

This is my first time trying Mariscos el Viejon, being in Idaho I was hesitant to try the seafood, I am so glad I did, the taste is super fresh and authentic! The octopus was cooked perfectly which is rare to find! I will definitely come back to try more of their dishes! I wish they took orders over the phone since I had to wait 40 min for my take out order, it was totally worth it! If you are a seafood lover, I would definitely recommend trying them!
