Really good food! Pretty fast service and not too long wait, but it is a small restaurant so the tables are limited! Idk how busy it is at other times. Got garlic bread and lasagna. A little loud though, but it happens. Good portions for the prices.

Nice quaint restaurant with traditional, older style atmosphere. Some of the cheapest Italian you will find in the region hands down. Bread is ok Chicken parm was great and pizza is decent as well. Sauce could use a little more flavor in my opinion. Sauce was good but not the most flavorful.

Nice quiet little place. The service was awesome from Kelley despite the fact that they are short staffed. The lasagna was amazing. The only complaint I had was that the Italian sausage was cold. Last week I picked up a takeout order of 2 lasagna dinner and when I got home I was surprised to see how much smaller the portion size was! My wife and I have been regular customers since before we got married back in 1972! I get that pricing is a constant issue due to economic factors. But to also ‘trim down’ the portion size was more than disappointing to say the least! We have been steady happy customers since early 70’s. I am not sure if the current situation will affect our decision to continue to be a part of the customer experience. No issue with quality of service and product, but I’m not pleased with the serving size. The pizza we had this past Saturday evening was excellent! I will follow up with management to see if it was just an oversight but it happened on two different occasions and no one wants to go all the way back to question this. I just heard from a good friend of her experiencing this situation with her lasagna order recently. She had no idea of our experience with the same situation. Will post again the results of my interview.

The food was perfectly fine, and our waitress was charming and helpful. The woman who “runs” the place, however, has the personality of toad. Her sole contribution is sitting on a stool, mean mugging anyone who wanders into her field of view. Her presence ruined the experience.

I went to Mario’s in Lexington with my brother. It’s right on Mass Ave. in Lexington Center. You could drive right by it, looking for a parking spot on Mass Ave. isn’t easy. It’s my new dining destination. Truthfully, the reason I keep going back is because the prices are so reasonable, and the food is more than enough. My brother got spaghetti and meatballs. He got enough he said, for two meals. There were four huge meatballs, I find normally you’d get two meatballs in most restaurants. I got the most delicious lasagna, with meatballs and sausage on the side. I was very pleased with my meal. I don’t like lasagna runny and the cheese not firm. This was perfect, exactly the way I like it. The cheese was delicious. I also got enough for two meals. Their menu is fairly extensive, serving many Italian dishes. They also have salads, calzones, pizza, and subs. If I had any disappointment, it would only be that they don’t have dessert on the menu. I do like dessert, but thought my waistline doesn’t need it anyway! So if you get a chance, try Mario’s in Lexington Center. You’ll be glad you did.

Mario’s is one of the few places I go to every time I’m visiting home. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious and comforting. Downtown Lexington is so cute. This place is pretty casual, but that’s what makes it awesome. I have so many fond memories eating here with my family. You can’t go wrong with the spaghetti and meatballs. Their meat sauce is the best ever. I also really like their eggplant parmesan and calzones. Everything is great.
