First time here. Staff welcomed us with a smile. They knew other customers by name (evident they have many customers who come often) atmosphere was festive. Drinks were delicious. Chips light and crispy. Salsa was good but we asked for a spicier option which they brought out and was great! Food came hot, sizzling, and delicious. Big portions. Leftovers were great day 2. Excellent service. Worth the price for the house specialties we tried. Excited to have moved into the area and found this restaurant. I anticipate we will return often. Thanks!

Good Me I am food. Salsa was amazing great taste and texture. Margaritas were very good quite strong pour but tasty. Our service was fast and drinks were always filled, great overall experience. Will be back again! The Tacos had great flavor and the meat was juicy and well marinated.

Took my daughter’s here for lunch the other day. It was a little basic and bland compared to some other Mexican restaurants that we’ve been to. However, our waiter was extremely nice and checked on us multiple times just to make sure we were doing ok. I ordered the chicken fajitas which were good. My daughter got the kids cheese quesadilla with beans on the side. There were more beans than actual quesadilla!

Waited 10 min to get seated. Bus person brought me water. Bus person brought me chips and dip after 15 minutes and told me about 4 times ( different times) that my server would be with me soon. Server finally showed up took order. Bus person brought my dinner. It was not what I ordered! No one came again! I flagged down the bus person for a take home box. He gave me one and left. No check so I stood up front….5 minutes later I heard the waiter ask the bus person where I went! The bus person said I was standing at the cash register….The server ran my card and left!!! WOW! The food was not good at all and I will never go back there again. We have lived in UP for 39 years and used to eat at El Toro’s all the time but now since it is Maria’s the food quality and service is bad ….none of my family will go there anymore and haven’t for sometime…..I should have known! Save your money go somewhere with better food and service.

Five star service and five star food! (I’ve been there on numerous occasions and the service and food is always excellent.) I called the night before this last trip to talk to the manager and to ask him if he would mind if we had a birthday gathering there. I wanted to see if he was okay with it and I wanted to give him a little “heads up” so he might be better prepared. (We had between 15 and 20 people there.) He was very professional and he said they would be happy to have us; he also appreciated the call. I hope this can be an opportunity for me to just say how grateful I am for how they treated us. We all had a wonderful time and the food was excellent! Thank you to all the staff there for another excellent experience. I’m very grateful.

This is my local mexican restaurant. I have been going here since I was a little kid. Food is great and the margaritas are house made. Can’t say enough good things about this local family owned restaurant. Many of the servers have been there for 15+ years, speaks to the quality of ownership and the business itself.

Chips and salsa were good but I couldn’t finish the meat on the tacos. I’ve been here twice. I had the shredded beef the first time and pork today. They were bland and had a weird taste. The staff was friendly, but I won’t be back.

So I want to start off by saying I liked the food here which is a shame because I will never be back here their service is beyond pathetic. Second time we’ve been here we were waited by an older gentleman with graying hair friendly at first but messed up our order both times we came in.
