I did not go to the Mariachi Bar to eat it was more for the bakery because I have heard good things about it. I loved the look inside but they did have a private security there so that made me feel uneasy so it means there is was trouble in this restaurant. I did not hear any mariachi playing but I saw them. Now on the deserts. They had many different ones but I feel that you could of got theses baked goods at any Mexican market that sells pastries. As you can see from my receipt I bought a few but there was a problem. Nothing with the restaurant but I had a couple of pastries when I got home and the next day I was not feeling well at all. I am not sure if it was the sugar but my legs were shaking and it did not stop for a couple of hours. After it stop I threw out the rest of the pastries. I hate wasting food but my health is more important then what I spent. All it all I would try to eat there next time to see what its like. Also good luck finding free parking because it was a pain but if you do not mind paying for parking then its no problem.

The bar is part of the restaurant. There are 3 areas: restaurant area, bar, and bakery. The bathrooms are located in the bar area. They were super clean. The bar area was packed and there were plenty of attentive bartenders. The bar is stunning – visually. I would recommend stopping in and having a drink before going to eat. There’s a small balcony within the bar area. Try the bar out if you just want to visit!

Food was good. Service was decent, especially considering the number of people that are coming through the place. The mariachi band was quite fun.

My husband and I are native San Antonioians we do not often get the chance to go down to Market Square a lot of times, frankly it’s because there are way too many tourists. We ended up being there around lunch time on a Tuesday afternoon it wasn’t busy we decided to go look for silver while we were on the way down there we decided to stop at Mi Tierra. The pan dulce, the bakery was wonderful as it always is. Now, there was a wait for a table but honestly it doesn’t matter if you go when we went or at 2:00 in the morning on a weekend… this is a wonderful Mexican Tex-Mex restaurant… it is world famous! I think Bill Clinton even has a shirt from Mi Tierra that he wears when he jogs. We opted to sit in the bar and we were served an appetizer and we each ordered drinks . They were out of this world! In fact I remarked to my husband that this was one of the best times he and I had had together in a long time and it’s not as if we have a bad marriage, it’s just we were relaxed and we enjoyed the scenery. Mi Tierra is a certified San Antonio Tradition or as the locals would remark, it is Puro San Antonio ️ ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

This is the biggest tourist trap bar in the city. Mariachi Bar survives on people waiting for a table at Mi Tierra, and locals never suggest going here. If you end up here, make sure you’re with a tourist. The color and ambiance is perfect for giving people a taste of what they think San Antonio is like without visiting anything noteworthy in San Antonio. Order them a huge overpriced margarita. Tourists love huge over prices margaritas.

They have really good drinks here. I recommend the large margarita but make sure you’re not planning on driving afterwards. The prices are reasonable for the size of the drinks. Great service. The bartender really enjoys his job.

Love place, shows all Mexican best culture, its an excellent environment to drink a margaritas and listen the amazing trio of Mexican singers with very selective songs of Mexican classics.

Went there 3/18 and nobody came to wait on our table. My husband went up to order drinks several times because the wait staff not aware of people at their tables. We asked a server if someone was going to come to our table he told a female sever to come to our table and she never did. An hour and the manager sat at the bar not noticing the numerous dirty tables nobody came to bus the entire time. We decided to take our business elsewhere to get drinks and appetizers. This place is booming because its a tourist location and when locals come down to visit the disappointment reminds me of why there are SO many better places in San Antonio to enjoy food and service. Extremely disappointed. Beautiful bar LOUSY staff.
