Marco’s Café and Espresso Bar Menu – Portland, OR

Type : Restaurant

Location : Portland, OR

The first thing you’ll notice when you step into Marco’s is our iconic umbrella-covered ceiling. (No, we don’t have a leaky roof.) Aside from adding some quintessentially eclectic Portland flair, the umbrellas serve a practical purpose, as well. The Nelson Thomas Building is a historic treasure…with high, hard ceilings; it can get LOUD when the dining room is full. The umbrellas help—kind of like noise-dampening panels, only way more conversation-inducing.

Longtime restaurant providing traditional American dishes & cocktails in a down-to-earth atmosphere. Based on 983 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

Marco’s is a well-regarded institution in Multnomah Village and deservedly so. I’ve only gone for breakfast and it was always very good but, perhaps, a little pricey. Service can be hit or miss as if they’re understaffed, but I would still recommend them for their food quality.

I have been coming to Marco’s Cafe for years – even during the pandemic, when the only option was to eat at the tables out on the sidewalk! It’s a great place to meet friends for coffee. The cinnamon roll is amazing – it’s so big that it’s closer to a pie than a roll!

Been eating at Marco’s for years and it remains the best breakfast/brunch spot in the metro area in my opinion.

This restaurant has been a main stay over the years in Multnomah Village. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly and efficient. It is close to unique shopping in a small town setting. This is a great stop when you are in the area.

This nugget of hospitality right off Multnomah Blvd. Has everything you want in a neighborhood restaurant – and a destination restaurant for that matter. The service is really key here, the staff is friendly, courteous, and well versed in the menu, beer, wine, and cocktails. The food is a delight, well thought out, prepared, and executed. This is one of my favorite SW destinations.

Our sons new favorite place. I love the Benedict, he loves the fish and chip and the belgian waffles. I like the fries better than their breakfast potatoes, so that’s how I roll on my order. Wait can be long so show up early. Service has been great!

Its so loud in the restaurant, conversations are difficult. The food and service have noticeably slipped over the last few years. This review is based on our last few visits. We won’t be returning. Food is often served “not hot” like it’s been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Recently, we were charged $5 for a side of breakfast meat – 1 dried up, partially reheated sausage. The touted cinnamon rolls haven’t been fresh and are kind of dry.

What a lovely breakfast spot! Super cute decor. The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time and the food was quite good! The menu had a good selection to choose from. And the food came in a reasonable amount of time. I definitely recommend the spot to anyone looking for a nice breakfast!

Updated. Came 30 minutes before closing, seated promptly. Excellent service and friendly staff. Breakfast for dinner, yes please! Got the omelette with cheese, spinach, chicken sausage and tomato. Pancake instead of toast? YES PLEASE! I had a long day and this food totally hit the spot.
