Nice ambiance in downtown Scottsdale right by the canal. The food is very good and the service as well, however, I would check the bill at the end as ours had a wrong item instead of what we ordered. You get some warm bread with red pepper pasta at the beginning which is very nice . The cocktails are amazing and the food delicious. We tried the lentil soup as well, highly recommended, as well as the desserts that came with a small flame for the effect.

Starting from the phone call for reservation, Melanie was so nice at getting our table reserved for our party of 4. When we arrived our friends were already seated in the patio as we walked in Melanie was there and with a smile she welcome us to Marcellino’s. I then said we have a table for 4 and I told her my name. She then said your party is waiting, follow me. She took the time to take us all the way to our table. That is GREAT customer service. Our waiter was always on point. He recommended us the best dishes in the menu including drink and deserts. He was awesome! Everything was amazing! Thank you for a great dinner service!

After two weeks in Italy, we weren’t thrilled to be going to an Italian restaurant. After all…BUT what an incredible surprise. The food was the best Italian food we’ve ever had, including what we had in Italy. It is hard to explain how delightful the hand made fresh past was. I was particularly fascinated with the pasta infused with things like truffles or cheese or filet mignon. No, I don’t mean the sauce, I mean the pasta. And not only was the food fabulous, the ambiance was amazing, the lighting, music, servers, all contributing to a culinary experience to be remembered. This isn’t your average Italian restaurant. It is a moment.

Exceptional food! We were greeted by one of the owners at the door and she was very welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable and explained what was in each of the handmade pasta options for the day. It was so nice. All 4 of us got something different and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Looking forward to the next time!

I’m so angry at this place that all the good is overshadowed by the fact that the server didn’t tell us the range of prices of any of the specials, just said they were all Market Price. Therefore, when all the pastas on the regular menu were $27-$29, I did not expect that a simple dish of homemade pasta and lamb ragu would cost $52!! The pasta was great, but the sauce was just okay. My husband got the seafood special with homemade squid ink pasta and half a lobster and his was just $4 more. I was shocked when we got the check. How is this possible? Look at the pictures and see how we got ripped off. Everything is overpriced, and they hawk their bottled sauce everywhere—so tacky. I will never go back.

When I visited Marcellino RistoranteI I felt I was transported to Italy. The decor is beautiful and inviting, topped off by a flowing water feature. The food is fabulous, from our mixed greens salad to clams linguine and our complimentary biscottio dessert. And because this place was bustling on a Wednesday evening, we sat at the bar and were introduced to their fine cuisine by our transplanted Italian bar tender. I highly recommend Marcellino!

Stopped in for a cocktail and appetizers. Alan, the bartender, was very nice, provided a ton of info. We enjoyed the Buffalo Mozzarella Tomato salad and Mussels. The Mussels could of used a bit more seasoning / robust broth, but good. All the pasta and ravioli is homemade, see picture, looked amazing, we didn’t stay for dinner but the plate of homemade pasta is enough to make me go back! Chef owned and operated, he even came over to check on us. Perfect patio in the shade, add this to your list!

This restaurant reminded me of how truly special eat outs can be, these days dine outs are such a norm with mediocre service. But not here, right from the front door till the end they made it so special, it was our anniversary but we didn’t share it with our server, and were still treated with fabulous crafted dishes, cocktails (wud love to have expresso martini anytime) and complimentary dessert..
