Hands down THE BEST chicken sandwich I’ve had in my life (not kidding). There’s something about this place… their fried sandwich is just *chef’s kiss*

Ma’ono and Rachel’s Ginger Beer share a shop front. Service was great, dining experience is super casual (counter service), and the food was satisfying. French fries were particularly satisfying. Pretty cool that you can mix ginger beer flavors!

A good option if you’re craving a no frills fried chicken sandwich. The large chicken breast is lightly coated and crunchy and the soft bun, pickles and shredded lettuce brings it together well – chicken is juicy but not deeply flavorful. Fries at over $4 per order were dismal – the portion size was diminutive and served at room temperature. Interior was loud from music volume but a few pleasant seats outside overlooking a plaza and fountain. Fair price for a pretty good sandwich.

Was looking for an afternoon snack and I thought why not a chicken sandwich? I happened to recall that there was a fried chicken place inside Rachel’s Ginger Beer, and decided to check it out.

Anytime I come to the university village to help the wifey shop, I stop into Maona for an amazing chicken sandwich and fries. Be careful because even the medium sandwich is still pretty spicy. Grab some extra dipping sauces and also a drink from Rachel’s ginger beer for a delicious cocktail. This is a very good lunch spot and will cure any fried chicken craving you may have. Not the cheapest burgers but the quality is exceptional.

Ordered the fried chicken sandwich with medium heat and the potato mac salad. I loved the crispiness and texture of the chicken sandwich but the meat itself could’ve had more flavor. Also the medium heat level was very conservative. The potato mac salad was to my liking, I just wish there were salt and pepper shakers or packets provided so I could adjust the savoriness.

fried drumsticks were juicy and succulent! but felt the skin could be more crunchy. Fries were decent with a slight crunch. The pulled chicken thigh sandwich was surprisingly good, although was smaller than expected. the BBQ sauce was a good complement though. Also got the honey mustard sauce which was a little too watery, making it hard for the sauce to stay on the food after dipping.

Food was overpriced and mediocre. Chicken was dripping oil but somehow not crunchy. The seasoning was bitter. Waited 10 minutes for a sandwich that was cold. They had the large folding windows open in the restaurant with it being 46 degrees out, so our food was instantly cold. Drumsticks were undercooked. Not enough seating. Have to stand in a separate line to order drinks.

This is a four star place. Food is solid but not that great. I had the fried chicken sandwich which had good crust but wasn’t that flavorful and toppings were fine. I asked for ranch to make it taste better. Cucumber poke was quite nice.

Fried chicken is good here! Order line is separate from Rachel’s ginger beer bar. I’m a fan of spicy food and only ordered the second to the most spicy option. Honestly I’d tried the most spicy option for the extra kick. Location is pretty nice and faces the street in U village. Nice hangout place with friends here with some cook drinks and spicy chicken
