The Khans
The owner was very humble, courteous, and sincerely wanted the customer to enjoy the food. This is very important to me. It is an Indian #desi cousine with some new creative dishes like Lamb with Mango; they add Mango chatni (spicy sweet-sour sauce) to it. The only #halal meat option was lamb, so I tried Lamb Biryani and Lamb “seekh-kabaab”. Both were good; not too hot for the mainstream population. Kabab’s were juicy and went well with hot #naan. The side of spicy cauliflower and broccoli with seekh-kabab was new for me; I think it is a new combination for those who like broccoli.

Came in for lunch explain to the owner/server/cook that I hadn’t had many Indian dishes in the past and had him recommend something. He patiently explained to me how people order Indian food And what a different types of seasoning and sauces are. He recommended the chicken Madras which was delicious and the naan was delicious crispy yet chewy. The bill ended up being kind of expensive for a solo lunch but the food was so good I’m not even mad.

Excellent food. We enjoyed Indian food after so long. We ordered Chicken Chetinnad and chicken biryani. The spice level was good and garlic naan was perfect. Also, we ordered LASSANI GOBI which was recommended by the owner. You should definitely try this appetizer.

The food is delicious! The building needs a big time upgrade: replace the cracked tiles, new paint inside and out, and spruce up the landscape. Get rid of weeds around the building, and fix the lights. This would improve the atmosphere and dining experience!

Great Indian, smaller portions, decent prices, slightly slower service but friendly!

Love this place! Food is consistently delicious, staff is super pleasant. I usually get take out to enjoy the food over a good movie for a night-in. My favorite is the tandoori shrimp, and the Naan. The veggie samosas are also a must-have favorite!

Excellent food. Had the mango lamb. They had goat on the menu, but had run out the day before. Call ahead if you want goat. Owner and wife came out to see if we were enjoying our meal. Several entrees I want to try, so we will be back.

What a find! Indian food in general is possibly my favorite cuisine, and to discover Mantra so close to home is fantastic. Food quality is excellent, some of the strongest flavor I’ve found (surprising being this is Wisconsin, the “proud” home of BLAND food.)

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The owner is so sweet and the food is absolutely delicious. I always get the butter chicken and garlic na’an, and it’s cooked perfectly each time I get it.

I was super hungry. Tried their Sweet corn soup and chicken madrasa with tandoor bread. Over all satisfied. Can’t say amazed. Being Indian I tried to do a neutral review. Service was fast and staff was super nice. Will visit again to try other items .
