Mexican food in Hawaii yess this stop was good. The chicken tacos were well seasoned and not dry at all . service was fast the salsa had a little kick I forgot to ask if there was a spicy option. The parking is in the back we almost passed it the driveway comes up quickly when driving on the main ️. Thanks for the great food.

I greatly enjoyed my visit to Manny’s Kitchen. I ate a steak burrito which was one of the best burritos I have tasted. The burrito itself was very large and I was concerned there would be juices every where or, the burrito would fall apart. Turns out the burrito really was the best I had eaten. Inside in addition to ample steak cooked to perfection the inside included beans, onions, tomatoes and more-all blended together for a perfect taste. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant dining area was very clean. If desired, there was an assortment of beer available along with soft drinks.

Tempura Thursdays is the new Taco Tuesdays! Yes, a Mexican restaurant that serves authentic Japanese tempura on Thursday nights! I heard Manny used to be head chef at Teshima’s and that’s all I needed to know. The side order of shrimp tempura came with two shrimp, and one piece each of zucchini, eggplant, sweet potato, and kabocha pumpkin tempura! It was exactly as I remembered it tasting as a child growing up going to Teshima’s: light crispy batter and perfectly cooked.

Came upon this on our drive to Volcanoes NP and felt very lucky to do so!! The pupusas are delicious, though a double is a lot, so getting one was enough for me. My husband go fish tacos and say they were the best he has had (and he likes fish tacos)!

This is a review for their pupusas ONLY. Being Salvadoran, I was excited to find they sold that here and made the trek from Kona to buy these. They are not pupusas, but more like Gorditas, do not expect traditional pupusas, curtido and salsa cause you will def not get that. That being said, they were still packed with flavor, it doesn’t hurt to try hawaiian pupusas! There’s always a first for everything. I would skip pupusas and just order from their mexican menu.

Who would think you could get authentic Mexican food on the Big Island? You can here! Ask for the extra spicy salsa, it’s awesome! Loved the relleno and the tamales. Take out only right now, so plan accordingly. They also have a drive-through pick up window if you call in an order. We’ve already been twice and will be back.

First time here and the food didn’t disappoint. Didn’t get 5 starts because the salsa has room for improvement. Service was good. Except for the girl who was either on break or related to owners and didn’t have a sense of customer service when I reached out to get additional napkins and cashier was in the kitchen. But will return for the food. No expectations of outstanding customer service.

On Monday’s Kawehi who is truly super awesomely gorgeous young girl adds her Aloha Spirit to Manny’s Kitchen which makes for an experience you should never miss!!!!!!! Dean Nagasako’s favorite is Manny’s Vegan Burrito which is truly super awesome!!!!!!! My favorite Mexican restaurant hands down by a trillion marathons. Truly super awesome!!!!!!!
