Paid 19$ something for 3 slices of Bangus paksiw. I had to reheat it on the stove so it wouldn’t go bad quickly. Really, how much does a 3 item meal cost with rice included? I still can’t get over it. Not going back there.

Normally, the food is great. The staff are always friendly and nice. I took my disabled mom with me to run some errands and stopped by for lunch. I ordered dinuguan and it was severely unappetizing. It is normally really good. This time I was eating the dinuguan over some rice and noticed one of the pieces of meat with hair on it. It wasn’t just one or 2 stray hairs from the pig that wasn’t plucked or shaved off. This piece of meat was completely covered in nasty @$$ hair. I was going to share it with my mom but ended up throwing the food away. I’m definitely not gonna order dinuguan from there again. I’m not so sure if I will order any other food from there again. I usually tip the love ladies behind the counter something decent but, this time I regret it

Sad they didn’t have any combo options, it was pricey for what it is. Would not come back. I’ll try a different Filipino restaurant next time. I was really craving the food and didn’t get to have lumpia because of how expensive it was. The pancit was good tho but again, pricey!

So disappointed this morning. I had a craving for kare-kare so I bought some at the food court in the mall called Manila Bay Cuisine yesterday. Looking forward to eating for breakfast this morning but was shocked that the meat used was lengua (beef tongue) instead of the traditional oxtail. I’ve never had this dish cooked w/tongue ever. I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but I draw the line on eating animal tongue, intestine and blood. I only eat those when I clean and prep it myself. Don’t you all think vendors should disclose when they use ingredients that are considered unusual? Never going back to that food stall again.

I stopped eating at Manila Bay Cuisine for a few reasons: 1) food is too greasy, 2) overpriced, & 3) slow, judgmental service. As a Filipino American, I already know that Filipino food is greasy and high in sodium, fat, sugar and/or carbs. Since I eat Filipino food at home, I prefer not to eat it outside unless family insists on it. In this case, I wouldn’t recommend Manila Bay Cuisine because it just doesn’t taste as good as the Filipino food I have at home. Afritada? Too salty. Diniguan? Too oily. Sinigang? Stingy about meat. Kare Kare? Lacks peanut butter and color.
