There is truly nothing more comforting than peruvian food which is probably why I can’t get enough of it! The menu fills me with nostalgia of food I used to eat with my family in Lima! Finding treats like tacu tacu and chicha morada in the states is hard which is what makes going here such a treat! The staff was very sweet and the food was beyond delicious!

I don’t live in the area anymore but I’ve been eating at Mango’s whenever I’m around for about 2 years now. I’ve had both dine-in & take-out. I’ve tried a bunch of different menu items & the food is consistently amazing. The customer service has been amazing every time – always smiling. The indoor dining is very clean and the ambiance is great. Nice decor & music. The prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality you’re receiving. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

Overprice food and poor costumer service. Prices on the menu didn’t match what I got charged for. When I told the owner that her prices are not accurate on her menu… Her replied was: I know that they are not accurate and what are you going to do about it.. Even tough my balance was over $10, They still charged me a credit card fee of 3%..

Great food, but a bit expensive. Five entrees for take-out came to $81. The food was delicious and was more than enough for four hungry adults. Will definitely eat here again, but probably just four entrees.

I started coming here due to the other location in Lumberton closing. I don’t know if they changed the cooks but the food is much different now, is not good is what I mean. When ordering I have to constantly tell them not to dry my rice or meats(steak or chicken) otherwise they do it. I still continue to go as they are a friendly establishment but due to the last experience with them I will not nor do I recommend coming back to this place. They lady who’s also the owner incorrectly order my food, I didn’t see the product until I arrived back home which was after they were closed. I called back but they stop taking calls after they close even tho they’re still physically in the building. The following day I called and left a message for the lady and she returned my call. I told her even tho most of my order was wrong It’ll be ok as long as one of the orders got corrected but she refused and instead offered me a 10% discount on my next visit to which I politely declined. I advised her I would not be coming back and she will lose more clients this way and I would be posting this on my review sites, the lady said she doesn’t care and to do as I please. So yeah, many years of coming to mangoes but no more.

The food wasn’t too bad, my rating is low because I asked for maduros, rice/beans and grilled breast… I found multiple pieces of bacon in my food or maybe tiny pieces of beef. Either way, I don’t eat either one. There’s definitely food ppl do not eat and it’s wrong to not pay attention to detail when cooking. Thank you.

The food is okay but overpriced. There is so much potential but the unfortunate part is that the customer service is extremely horrible. I have been there several tmes and tried to give it multiple chances. But each time I was met with some type of negative interaction with the owner. The owner does not care about your satisfaction, only about making profit! If there’s an error in your order, they won’t take blame or replace it. They will blame it on you. Don’t like how something tasted or how it was prepared? Oh well, you already paid. Want a cup of tap water? Sorry you need to get a bottle of water so we can charge you. Prices didn’t match? Oh well, you can’t do anything about it.

I have no idea what I ordered the last few times I was here. I just ordered by pointing at pictures and I can’t stress how good this food is. This is the only place I’ll stop for lunch when I’m in the area. The service is good, the smoothies are banging (and also very filling so keep hag in mind when ordering), the food is authentic and absolutely delicious. Food comes out fast too, very little wait.

I wouldn’t eat here again. They messed up my order and gave double portions and I didn’t notice until I got back to work and distributed my co workers food out to them. So it seems intentional that the portions were doubled and I got charge for larger portion sizes that werent requested. As far as my personal order, I order white meat chicken rice and plantains . My chicken was completely under cooked in the inside. Never going back.

I am a big fan of Peruvian cuisine, and I was very happy to discover this restaurant in SJ. Previously, I would go to Philadelphia or NYC, but now I know this amazing place! Very cute and clean restaurant, wonderful owners from Lima. Food was freshly made to order and tasted delicious. Very good sized portions! My absolute favorite is ceviche and yuca frita with garlic sauce. I plan to be back soon to explore other delicious dishes from Peru.
