Local from New Castle recommended. I had 2 slices of best pizza ever! The staff was very friendly and told me how to reheat the pizza. So I bought a whole pizza from their slice shelf. Yes, their fantastic pizza does take time (30 min) for them to make. But, the slice shelf has all sorts of pizzas ready.

We order from work. The staff is always busy. The orders are never ready if called in ahead. And every time we order something is not correct. Many times they’re out of items. Or sometimes they will comp you something because they don’t have what you ordered. Prices are a little high. The food does taste good though.

There’s nothing like the local Italian mainstay that a town is so grateful to have. I never heard of a “Dugout” before (I’m from outta town), but it beats a regular meatball sandwich to a tomatoey pulp. It was fabulous. Many choices of items here. Great service. Quality food. Consistency. I recommend this place.

Update: My original review was posted 11/2021 and this update is 10/2022. Mangino’s is an hour from my house and I’ve made the drive 4 times this year, simply for the meatball stuffed loaf and french fries! I’ll stop at a few of the waterfalls in the area to make it a day, but I’m making the trip for the loaf. I’ve purchased extras to bring home to my family and they were enjoyed as much as my fresh one.

Ate here in 2022 and it was fabulous. Returned one year later and was not allowed to order toppings on pizza slices w/o ordering a whole pie. Owner had to run the place alone last year. This year he hired a rude staff who acted like toppings are off menu.
