This restaurant is mediocre, however for a newly opened place they did fine. The issues we faced were: the waiter seemed to rush us during the visit, he also was quite inattentive, especially when more people started showing up, we waited 15 minutes to order dessert, caprese was horrible (too plain, too much olive oil, not salty enough), table was too small even for just two people, and also the waiter did not bring us any bread, even though everyone around had some. Overall, other dishes we tried (chowder, gnocchi, and scallops) were pretty good. It was also very easy to make reservations, and the place itself is nice. This restaurant is worth a visit, even if just a single one.

From my family entering to celebrate a birthday until ending our night and leaving everything was amazing. Everyone was attentive and helpful. The food is delicious, drinks are strong One of the best Italian Ristorante’s I’ve been to Lesley our server was on point. I will! be going back .

Great views, great service, Sat outside enjoyed some nice wine and some gnocchi as an appetizer and it melted in your mouth. The short rib was fantastic.

Absolutely incredible food and great service. We were a big party and they took good care of us the whole time. I highly recommend the scallops with the lobster ravioli, but everything I tried was amazing. I will be back again soon!

Wesley is an Awesome bartender first of all. But my complaint is with the food. I ordered the Bolognese and it was $38. No problem, But……… The quality of the food was bad. First of all the portion was very small, and the noodles were overcooked. When my waiter asked me how my food was, (Not Wesley) I told him it was just ok, and I really wasn’t happy with it. He said absolutely nothing, but very well sir, and then just asked me later if I was ready for the bill. I’ve had dinner in a few restaurants right around here, and the service was very very good. Sadly I will only come to Mangiamo for an appetizer and to drink at the bar. I will not waste money on dinner here again.

I really liked the salmon and risotto, the tender fish just melted in my mouth, but for me there was quite a lot of black pepper or some other spices that gave extra spice, but these are just my preferences. The ocean views from the tables are relaxing, the sunsets are superb and the champagne of course too!

One of the original restaurants in Manhattan Beach since the 80s. Sitting in the window at the bar or dining window is best. Great food and service.

I brought my wife here for her birthday. We ate in the outdoor dining outfitted for COVID. I had a spicy chicken dish with penne and was quite happy with it. My wife ordered a shrimp pasta topped with a crab cake and was happy with her choice. The bread pudding they gave my wife for her birthday was AMAZING. We continue to talk about it to this day.

A very enjoyable meal at this fine Italian restaurant, walking distance to the manhattan beach pier. While the food was outstanding, I’m somewhat torn. In my opinion, the service was not to the standards of a restaurant at this price level. The service felt rushed and not polished. It was difficult to flag down our waiter – or anyone. It took a long time to even get my water refilled. Overall though, a pleasant experience.
