My server Gaby was top tier! Very friendly and welcoming. He made excellent recommendations and brought out food very quickly. The food was delicious. I knew as soon as I tasted the bread and roasted garlic oil sauce that I was in for a treat and it definitely was. Sorry my plate was half eaten before I took the pic. My anxiousness got the best of me! We will definitely be back. Side note – they have a separate bar that looked like a really good time sans kids – so for that I will be returning solo!!

My wife and I had dinner here. They were very pleasant and accommodating with our child in a high chair. As for service it was slow even though we were the only table. We spent most of our meal with empty drinks. The waitress was nice though. We tried the calamari as an appetizer and were a little disappointed on how some pieces were really chewy and others were not but we did like that the pieces were larger more like the size of an onion ring and the red sauce that came with it was good. Our meals came with a salad. The Caesar salad was short on dressing and felt like eating dry lettace and croutons. My wife upgraded to the caprese salad which was the way to go because it was amazing. My wife had the Aglio e Olio, not really a fan as it was overwhelmingly herby. The tartufo pasta was good and the sauce not to rich.

I went to Mangia Bistro this past weekend with six of my friends. Upon arriving, I was a bit surprised to find the restaurant mostly empty. However, it’s not too shocking considering it’s a newly opened establishment with less than ten reviews at the time of writing. My initial impression, based on the table settings and the wine racks inside, was that it looked like a great Italian restaurant.

Wonderful experience. Wine, charcuterie appetizer, then different entrees for all. Traditional Italian fare made fresh and richly seasoned. Fruit de mare ( brencino) was almond encrusted accompanied by rich risotto. Arthur the owner visited our table.

This is an amazing find !! If you are in Plano TX, DO NOT miss Mangia Bistro. The Frito Misto is lightly battered, not an overdose of oiliness like some places. We had the carbonara and my wife says it’s the best she’s ever had ! Glad to have found this place for lunch – our first stop driving up from Austin

We consider ourselves foodies, and this was THE BEST meal we have had in years!!! I don’t leave reviews often, but just had to post about this restaurant. Starting out the inside is very nice and tastefully decorated. When you walk in on the right, it has a beautiful and very well stocked bar. We had amazing waitstaff who attended to our every need. We enjoyed fabulous appetizers, from the stuffed mushrooms and the meatballs. The Caesar salad was very fresh and crisp with a wonderful tangy dressing. And then came the meals. They have so many tempting items on the menu it was difficult to choose from. I had what I considered the best filet I have ever eaten. It was so tender it melted in my mouth with a wonderful mushroom sauce. My husband had the pan seared scallops with truffle risotto which and the scallops were fresh and cooked to perfection. Our friends had delicious and plentiful portions of Parmesan chicken and lasagna. We were so full, but just had to save room for desert. Like their other restaurant, the star of the show are the cakes. I can only say that I have there was nothing left of the Italian cream cake with fresh cream and raspberry sauce. Chef Arthur came by and we let him know what a wonderful meal he had prepared. This was a delightful evening with great friends, but the food was incredible. You are missing out if you don’t try this new place!

We wanted to eat as a family and was checking for a new Italian place in Plano/Richardson area and found this place in maps. We came because of the really good reviews. I have to say, the reviews are great, but the experience was even more richer.

10/10 loved the warm welcoming service. The food in itself was amazing which was no surprise, ordered a soup and salad aswell but they were gone in no time to even take photos. No joke the atmosphere and food is absolutely astronomical with a refreshing environment will be coming again for sure. ^^♪
