Very nice, cozy, authentic Japanese restaurant. Great selection and variety of dishes. The okonomiyaki was really delicious. The pork tonkatsu curry was done really well and the sushi was very tasty. The staff were super friendly. This place is a great find and very welcoming.

I was first recommended this place by friend, who called it one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in the area. The atmosphere upon entering is very homey, this place is very much a mom and pop’s hole in the wall. When I went on a Saturday afternoon, it was fairly empty. We ordered a caterpillar roll, donburi, okonomiya, agedashi tofu, and mango sticky rice. The okonomiya was tasty and filling. The agedashi tofu was fresh and the dashi sauce was so good, I could have just slurped it on its own. The donburi portion was enough to fill two people. The roll itself was only alright to me, I’ve had better, but I also did not get the chance try the other rolls or sashimi, so I would not discount the place entirely. The avocado on the roll was very fresh. The mango sticky rice came as a very big portion as well, and the fruit was just right. Be sure to check this place out for some homey fare.

What an awesome place to have nearby. I’m a big fan of traditional Japanese sushi – not the fried, mayo and sugar sauce coated creations so common now. If you also share a love for simple, clean sushi made with very high quality ingredients by a chef who respects tradition, go here! On top of it all they are super friendly and nice. Chef Tao came out and played with my daughter at one point which was great.

A cute Japanese restaurant in the heart of falls church city! I loved the cozy atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. I ordered something a little bit off-menu (katsu curry) but they were happy to oblige and it was so good! They were super generous with the ingredients- a lot more chicken than I expected in the curry, but everything was cooked down so well and the carrots were nice and soft. They had some specials up on the walls that I’m looking forward to trying next time!
