Ahh I struggled leaving this review . My husband ordered salt and pepper wings and salt and pepper shrimp, honestly it was pretty underwhelming. If you live in San Diego and have ever eaten at royal mandarin off of plaza then you know the expectation bar was going to be high ( I didn’t expect it to be as great or exactly like royal mandarin ) however it just didn’t taste good. I’m also use our wings being deep friend nice golden brown and these wings… we’ll they were definitely on the light shade of tan lol . My husband said the service was good, just the food was not. Even our rice seemed

Ordered to go and the food was horrible! Orange chicken was so dry. Sweet and sour pork was tasteless and the Mongolian fried rice was just bad. Ordered chow mein Noodles and we’ll enough said. Spent $111.00 and threw it all in the trash. I never write reviews however for the cost of this dinner I just had to. We have always had great food from here and always recommend it to our friends but not anymore.

Great quality service although severely understaffed. We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein, the Mongolian Beef, and egg rolls, spending around 21 per person. Our favorite dish was the Chicken Lo Mein, but everything was scrumptious!

They have a separate cook and cooking station for folks with special diets such as gluten-free, celiac, etc. They can make almost any entrée diet-friendly. They will tell which ones can not be customized. Very accommodating staff!

We got egg drop soup, rice, chicken and beef with veggies. We chose to dine in but all the food was served in togo containers. The restaurant environment was very nice but we expected to have real plates and silverware

Atmosphere, layout, service was quick. Food was amazing. Most people might not like this but I loved that they served beer in little plastic cups, food came out in the classic Chinese to go boxes to make things quick and easy. Also served on a paper plate! I don’t care for fancy silverware and plates sometimes….it was legitimate, simple & easy.

We’ve been on the hunt for a great Chinese food place in San Diego. Being from St. Louis, I have high expectations because we had surprisingly good Chinese food there! Unfortunately, we’ll still be one the lookout because this place isn’t it. The quality is there, the flavor is not.

I seldom write review since it is strickly personal preferences. But after going to this restaurant with my wife, I have found the atmosphere is warm and suitable for quite-prefered people even though one can find it at other places. The service, the food, and the price were also good and met our expectation.

The new owner seems intent on running this place into the ground. The portions are literally half the size they used to be for the same price, no one told me a sauce couldn’t be made gluten free or asked if I’d like something different, they just served me dry, flavorless chicken.

It was OK. Tasted like Chinese food but nothing really stood out. The best thing was the Buddha mixed vegetables – lovely and fresh. They do need to spend some time updating the restroom. It was very dirty looking (walls, sink, floor stained and dingy), grimy and uncomfortable to use. Going in there threw the whole meal and ambience off. Please paint and clean your restroom.
