We didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate my daughter and me. This tiny strip-center restaurant really impressed us. I think they have five 4-top and four 2-top tables with red-and-white checked tablecloths. The tiny staff is family and treated us like we were valued regulars, which most of the patrons, both dine-in and carry-out, seemed to be. The food and service were fantastic. Dessert is an absolute must. We were so fortunate to stumble upon this place while in town, and I hope we’ll have another opportunity to eat here again.

A hidden gem in Germantown. This Italian restaurant is a family owned business. Their menu is not that long but they change often. You can even order the food not on the menu! Today, I ordered the carbonara. It is well cooked and tasteful. The desserts are wonderful, especially the chocolate gelatos!

Authentic Neapolitan food cooked by Mamma Lena herself, this place is probably some of the best Italian in the Germantown area. Their takeout pizzas are great too, if you want dine in at the trattoria get a reservation since it’s family run and cozy.

I’m a new part time resident of the area and have been trying pizza places looking for truly excellent pizza. I found it today. Mamma Lena’s is far more than a pizza place: it’s a traditional Italian restaurant with a menu that changes often. I had some complementary bruschetta that the owners gave me. It was amazing. Best I’ve had.
