What a great evening! The owner is delightful, she helped our group, with friendly suggestions, and excellent service. The food is made from scratch , a delicious marinara tomato sauce. My husband had the chicken marsala and loved it. The fresh baked bread with olive oil and herb dip to start is delicious. We will go back!

Restaurant was very clean with nice decor. The hostess and waitress were friendly and attentive. The menu was a little limited. The fresh bread and salad were good. Chicken cacciatore was good but the shrimp scampi was a little disappointing, it was a bowl of pasta with only 6 shrimp and the garlic butter sauce had no flavor.

My husband and I love going to Mama’s for dinner. The food is delicious and perfect temperature. The service is superb with knowledgeable staff to describe any dishes you aren’t familiar with. Everyone on staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful with candle light tables and fresh flowers. We would highly recommend Mama’s Italian Restaurant for anyone that loves Italian food!

A quaint spot for an Italian meal! Food was delicious. Yum. Others at my table ordered The spinach ravioli and they said it was fantastic. They were so accommodating to my requests. I am a vegan and they had no problem working to make my meal fantastic!! It is hard to eat out when restaurants don’t freshly prepare food but this restaurant does! Give this restaurant a try. A new gem in Burlington for all and also vegetarians and vegans who crave Italian! The staff were friendly and provided great service. In times when no one can get staff I thought they are doing an amazing job. Way to go Mama!!

This was my favorite place of late. But my last 2 orders had issues. Food? 1 star. Service? 1 star. Because whoever cooked can’t seem to read instructions. The gal at the door was great. She’d get 5 stars if I could rate them separately. First, I didn’t expect my cheesecake to be frozen until I broke a fork in it. But I can overlook that. I picked up my to-go order 5 hours AFTER opening time. Guess that wasn’t enough time to thaw it out. Lots of places start with frozen foods. So I gave the next order time to thaw. Moving on to a couple weeks later…I placed another to-go order a couple days ago so I’d have dinner at work. I got called in on my day off and didn’t have time to make anything. Mama’s to the rescue. Not so much. I specifically said ‘no peas, no onions’. It was loaded with both. I don’t like peas. But I can pick those out. Onions, on the other hand, I’m allergic to. There’s no getting around that. The whole dish was exposed to them. Sooooo, I had a slice of cheesecake for dinner. That’s not exactly the best meal for a 12-hour shift. I don’t know if I’ll try again. The food is affordable, if it’s right, but still too pricey to play three strikes. I work in the jail. Nightshift. I can’t just leave to go get something else or have my messed up order replaced. And by the time I’m off work, it’s 6am. Mama’s is closed. Extremely unhappy with this.

What an awesome place! Burlington has a hidden gem in this restaurant. The chicken marsala is made from scratch!!! Unheard of these days with all the “can to pan” food service joints, I hesitate to call them restaurants… Mama’s is a great place to eat. Very friendly staff and the food is excellent. I highly recommend it to you… We had a party of 20 and there was no lacking in the service.

We called in a take-out at 5:40 and were told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Showed up at the restaurant at 6:05 and walked in and ended up with three others waiting in the lobby with no one to greet us. Stood there for around 10 minutes chatting with the others until a literal child (looked about 6 or 7 years old) checked on us and asked if we were picking up orders. He went into the kitchen and we waiting another 10 minutes before a woman came out and asked if we were picking up. She heads back to the kitchen for another 10 minutes only to return with one person’s order (not mine) and told me mine was ready and headed back to get it. No joke, about 10 minutes later she comes back out and says my order was “lost in the system” and was just now being started and would be ready in 20 minutes. About 25 minutes later we finally received our order at 7:10 (one hour and five minutes late) and as an apology they refunded us $5 which was pretty lousy honestly. We then drove home only to find that it was mostly burnt on the bottom. What an absolutely horrible experience. We were both excited to eat there as we’ve had great experiences in the past but it has been a few months and it seems things have gone downhill significantly since then. A full refund of this order would have been the right move, and even that would have only gone so far to rectify an experience this bad… but a $5 discount was enough to ensure I’ll never order from here again.

Are there no child labor laws in this state?? Why was there a CHILD doing more work than any adult?? Why was a child the one to greet us and others while waiting for to go orders? My wife and I are baffled. This place was AMAZING before the new owner took over. Since she’s taken over police have run in the place for her serving alcohol illegally, she’s changed hours multiple times and service just seems to get worse and worse. We wanted to try one last time for take out just to see if food was still as good. That’s a no. We are done and it’s sad because at one point it was AMAZING food and service. We had the same waitress every time, who constantly went above and beyond. I’m assuming she’s probably no longer there because it was never this way when she was. Time to shut the doors it seems
