Take Back Roads
An absolute GEM on Chestnut Street! Fantastic cocktails, sublime sushi and soups, and excellent service at the bar. The atmosphere is upscale casual. I don’t even know what else to say. Go here and find out for yourself: this place is amazing. 10/10

While the staff are awesome, I just wanted to take opportunity to sh!t on the head chef who also owns blue barn, tipsy pig, etc. Places like this only exist for the sake of guys on dates to spend more than necessary to impress a lady.

One of the best meals I’ve had living in SF. The bartender was engaging and gave great recommendations on food. The sushi was fresh and so delicious. Will be going back for sure!

The restaurant’s atmosphere was cozy and the service incredible! The umami sliders were delicious as was my nigiri (kamasu, chu toro, a third I forget). The citrus & wiki wiki rolls were likewise amazing; however, the kinobi left a little to be desired. All-in-all, this restaurant is well worth the visit.

The service was pretty good considering we had a large party. The sliders were SO good you have to try!! The rolls were good but nothing special. It is a great location to hop locations before/after your meal since it’s right in marina district

The food was delicious! Came here for a birthday. Drinks were creative and tasty. Highly recommend trying the chicken karage, umami sliders, waki waki, any of nigiri, and the cookie dough dessert roll!

I went here on valentine’s day and sat at the bar. The bartender, Jack, was great.

Best sushi I’ve had in years. So fresh, so flavorful. Don’t skip the salmon and toro nigiri. The Kinobi roll was INSANE and the toro cakes. Also the mukashi cocktail was incredible our table ordered about 12 of them. Don’t sleep on this place, it’s a must visit for us in SF.

This place is a gem! The ambiance is romantic with dim lighting, and the sushi selection is top-notch. The highlight of the evening was their amazing dessert roll – an unforgettable experience! A must-visit for sushi enthusiasts looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience.
