The owner (Young) is not an empathetic guy when it comes to individuals currently experiencing homelessness, and mental health challenges. He is vocal about telling the homeless population that they are not allowed inside the restaurant despite wanting to buy food or having someone that wants to buy them food. I was denied the opportunity to purchase dinner for myself because I was going to purchase food for a homeless man. Young told me, “I cannot let you buy food because you will give it to the homeless man.” After all, I was trying to do a good deed. I didn’t let him take my joy away from me and my excitement to help someone in need. I took my business elsewhere and have not stepped foot back in Mama Mia. I will never patronize this business ever again in my lifetime and that’s on Mary had a little lamb.

The owner was extremely rude to me today. Although I am experiencing homeless I am by no means a dummy. I’ve been in the store several times and purchased food. Today I went to make a purchase and after I paid for it I asked to use the restroom which was out of order. After asking to use the restroom he (the owner) the owner said I would not let you use it even if it was in order because I see you sitting outside with the homeless people. (Keep in mind) he comes outside to buy cigarettes from people selling loose cigarettes all the time. After getting my food (wasn’t going to take any chances of talking to him be I received it no telling what he would have done do it). I said to him you didn’t have to talk to me like that..he replied “IT IS WHAT IT IS AND IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE SERVICE DON’T COME BACK”. I was stunned and decided not to become combative going back and forth with him. I will never go to that place again!!!

I’m not from this area and it’s hard to figure out what’s a good wing. Everyone has a different definition of what a “good” hot wing is. If you’re looking for a Frank’s red hot buffalo wing, this isn’t it, it’s way better. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a flavorful order of wings. A good heat, without overpowering the taste. It’s good alone, it’s good with ranch and it’s good with blue cheese. The wings were juicy and full of meat. I’m sad that there isn’t one of these back home. Walk in service was great, super quick, but it was empty when I went in so I’m not sure how fast it is when busy. 10/10 would recommend and I just might go back before I leave town.

I ordered a burger asking for lettuce, tomato and onions (with these items on the side not on the burger) with fries. Received burger with mayo, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions on burger. Unprofessional and rude manager refused to make order according to my wishes. I do not eat mayo and never ask for cheese on my burgers. I left the burger on the corner and naturally I got no refund. According to manager, they do not place them items on the side and they do not give refunds if when it’s their error. Rudeness and poor customer service will break any restaurant. I pray others read this review before visiting this establishment.

Pretty nice and cozy. I was looking for a place to have dinner with my friend and Mamma Mia’s was a nice pick. We ordered chicken fingers & fries + sweet tea and those were good! The service was good too, the guy at the counter was very nice and let us stick around a few minutes while they were preparing to close because it was so cold outside and we were waiting for our ride.

Mama Mia’s Pizza is a local Atlanta eatery that caters to students at the Georgia State University Campus. Their specialty is, fast food. Predominantly, Wings, Pizza, and Hamburgers. I was very pleased at how delicious the peronal Pan Pizza tasted. It really reminded me of, Chicago Style Pizza. The restaurant’s interior is not the best but they seem to cater to Students who are on a budget; so perhaps, they are not too concerned about the interior decor. If you are ever in the Downtown Atlanta area, grab a Pizza and some wings to go. You will be happy you did❣

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all horrible customer service, I ordered honey lemon pepper and they charged me .50 cent for the honey. There was literally no season of lemon pepper and honey, I asked them to fix it and they did the same thing. When I asked them where is the seasoning and honey I was completely dismissed and told that the meal is prepared properly. The man took my order completely walked away while I was talking and made it seems has wasn’t of importance. That will be the last time I go to this place, I know when I’m not welcomed as a black women.
