In a town where there is so much competition in Dine In Mexican food, the competition should breed better results. Unfortunately, it seems mediocrity is good enough. The service was fantastic, as I enjoyed a meal before the Friday night rush. The music playing in the background was pleasant. The place was clean. That is where the good news ends. The pitiful decor could have been left as the dollar store. The food was filling though it lacked any unique flavor. It was bland, with no attempt to stand above the competition. Fortunately, the chips and salsa are the best in town for what that is worth. Glen Rose doesn’t have a lot of options for food. If you are driving through, keep driving. If you live in Glen Rose, start with drinks, then you won’t care what the food tastes like. Granted, I only tried meal, but when a simple Burrito is so simple that you wished you could find a food truck, it kinda says something. In my opinion, they could move back the tables, move in some bar stools, and it would make a great bar that serves Mexican food. No one cares what the food tastes like when the margaritas are flowing. Better luck next time, if there is a next time.

In town for the weekend and this place came recommended. The enchiladas Mexicana was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Cold in the middle. Akwardly served with a full salad then hard potatoes and mushy carrots, all on top. Worse was there was almost no sauce and the entire dish packed any flavor.

So sad I have to change this awesome review, but I was excited about this place I returned with my mom who is very picky and this time all went wrong, we waited an hour for a food that evidently was microwave as it was sitting there for ever. Our waitress decided to sweep the floor next to us…and there was no checking on us at all. We almost left no tip it was so bad.

Consistent great food every time. The food is consistently the freshest most flavorful Mexican food in Glen Rose every time I visit this restaurant. It’s great food every single time. Service is wonderful, they fill our drinks water or soda, though lemonade is awesome. Fast service, they pay attention to you every time I visit its the same. They take great care of you. Always come back.

Had a poor experience down the road at the green pickle and came here instead. We were seated immediately in spite of it being a ‘high traffic’ week for spring break and our service was speedy and accurate. Husband got the cheese enchiladas and I got the brisket tacos. Salsa for the chips was also very good

We sat for a good 20 mins before someone came to get our drink order. I’m gonna chalk it up to a fluke because after that service was great. The food was bland. Chips had more flavor than the salsa. Pretty sure lots of canned ingredients went into the meal. Nothing was bad mind you just bland, real bland. The exception being the rice. It was a little weird. Life is too short for bad Mexican food.
