We saw this place online and decided to try it. It was very good. We got 2plates one pork chop, greens, fried cabbage and potato salad delicious. The other plate was fried chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Both came with cornbread delicious. We will definitely go back to eat again. Oh so I don’t forget when you walk in you can smell the greens and they make you so hungry. Happy customer.

First time eating at this restaurant, and it was amazing! Service was quick, the food was hot, and everything was delicious! I ordered the rib plate with the baked mac and cheese, canned yams, fried cabbage with a piece of cornbread. I also ordered the cherry cobbler, which was fantastic, everything I ordered tasted homemade and filled with flavor and I definitely WILL be ordering from mama Jeans again!!!

We drove 3.5 hours from Alamogordo for a taste of down-home soul food and Mama Jean’s did not disappoint us. We tried their ribs plate with mac-n-cheese and collards, as well as their fried chicken plate with fried cabbage and green beans. The ribs were tender and moist, but needed a bit more dry rub for seasoning since they aren’t smoked, and the collards were a bit salty for our taste, but overall we thought it was a very authentic southern food experience, especially here in New Mexico. Oh, and before we forget, their cherry cobbler was da bomb diggity!!! Total lunch bill was a very reasonable $32. We would stop and eat here again if we were in the area, 100%.
