The women who is the owner use to be nice but over time have become extremely rude. She has completely heck up the prices, completely understand Covid has changed this when it come to inflation but $15 for a combination plate. I guess home cooked Chinese food is in order.

i would literally give this place zero stars. first off the lady on the phone was beyond rude and not helpful at all. we ordered food for my father in laws birthday waited AN HOUR AND A HALF and after specifying that we are in west hempstead and not garden city THE DELIVERY DRIVER STILL WENT TO THE WRONG HOUSE. food was sub par for the amount that we paid for it.

Great food but they don’t deliver outside of the delivery apps. Most people don’t want to pay $10+ after all the fees then you still have to tip. So I’d love to give them a call bit no one answered in five calls. Really hoping this changes. Stop using delivery apps cause they take jobs out of your neighborhoods and cost you a lot of extra money which use to be like $4-$5 dollars for the delivery guy

I’ve been eating Mama Food for 15+ yrs. The food & prices are good. They always tailor my order to the way I like {hold the?…sauce on the side, steam not fried etc}. It’s the only place I order from However, they have a min. to use your credit card. I’m one person and I don’t always hit that amount They are always busy, don’t always answer the phone & the woman who answers can be short, but my order is always right & she is pleasant when I pick-up{only}.

I am giving my rating based on the transaction. I ordered a lunch special which was actually very good slightly on small side. My issue is when I went to pay the counter person informed me that I would be charged .50cts extra for using my debit card for a $8 bill. I told her you have bad business practices when she tried to say 15 credit minimum on take out menu was a valid explanation
