The pork belly banh mi was huge! It had great fresh flavors, loved the veggies and sauce and bread. However, my husband and I don’t love jackfruit and pork belly was never our thing before going vegan, so we’d probably order something different next time, but we’d love to try more of the dishes here. I absolutely loved the ube whoopie pie and want to try more flavors! The staff was also really nice and friendly. We went around when they opened on a weekday and there was a bit of a line, but it wasn’t terrible. There’s no seating or restroom facilities for customers, so we carried our lunch to a nearby park. One sandwich (and a whoopie pie) was plenty for the two of us for lunch.

I’m not vegan, but I wanted to try something new this time in Portland! The savory pork-less jackfruit rice bowl was super filling, even had enough leftover for another meal. Great flavors, satisfied my craving.

Food was delicious and flavorful, we got two mushroom bao’s and a roasted “duck” bao as well as the kimchi roll, two cookie sandwiches(unpictured), an Ube cold brew a sticker and a packet of the pork belly for $43. Would happily pay every penny over again, great food and great service

It’s so tough to get vegan food right and this little place is doing good job. The food is very flavourful, the textures are complementing and the presentation is pleasing.

I ordered the pork belly bahn mi and it was sooo soggy. I ordered in person and waited, walked to my car and attempted to eat it. I couldn’t even eat half of it because it was so wet and falling apart. Super messy. They should really dry off the veggies (maybe the jackfruit) before putting them in the sandwich. The pork belly/bread consistency was slimy in the part that was supposed to be the fat. The crispy bit at the top was good. I picked most of it out. Overall do not recommend unless they start making it less watery. The hibiscus ginger tea was super sweet, but they warned me of that. I’m so sad!! Evey other bahn mi place in town doesn’t have drippy sandwiches. :/

Saw Mama Dut on a Netflix special and have been wanting to try it ever since. It did not disappoint! Really flavorful and good portion size. Big fan of the fried mushrooms. I also got the butterfly pea limeade, which was fun to look at.

Fantastic vegan food! The lemongrass Tofu banh mi was AMAZING!!! I will definitely come back just for that every time I’m in Portland. It’s a bit on the pricy side for a banh mi, but 100% worth the price tag.

Awesome spot. So many great flavors. Get the banh mi and the hot dog rolls. Pretty sure the Vietnamese beef stew is awesome because it keeps being sold out. If you get a drink next door you can use the cute little patio and the bathrooms.

Good vietnamese vegan comfort food. The banh mi seemed like a better deal than the bao buns, but still not very substantial nutrition-wise. Loved the ube whoopie pie. Seemed overpriced for takeout only. Very disappointed that this was take-out only and there was no immediate outdoor seating so we sat on some random sidewalk to eat which ruined the experience.

Stayed in Portland for a weekend for a wedding this summer & after watching Street Food on Netflix. I had to stop by! There was a long line even though we went before opening so we had to wait about 40 minutes total to order & get food. Overall I enjoyed the baos the most. Lots of flavors & love the crunch! The housemade aioli sauce was yummy. I personally thought there was too much going on for the Jackfruit Pork Belly Biscuit. If I was strictly vegan/vegetarian I would love to have this option around!
