Mama Chole’s is a great spot for Mexican food lovers! Their tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas are all delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The chips and salsa are also amazing! The restaurant has a cozy and colorful decor, and the outdoor seating area is nice too. Plus, the staff is friendly and attentive. If you’re in the mood for some authentic Mexican food, Mama Chole’s is definitely worth checking out!

Fast, decent Tex-Mex in a little spot along Leakey’s main drag. The enchiladas were good, and the beans & rice were satisfactory. One big minus (for me, at least) was drink selection — when we visited, Diet Coke, Root Beer and Unsweetened Tea were our only options! C’mon, Mama Chole!!

We had a party of 9, six of whom were kids and the two waitresses on duty handled it amazingly! The food was good! I got the street tacos, one of my go to plates in many different towns, and this by far had some of the BEST street tacos I’ve had!!! The seating area inside is small but they have an outside eating area as well! We liked it!!!

Worst Mexican spot to stop at. No silverware was handed to us so we had to wait to eat. Ordered the taco salad/ very disappointed. Did not come in a taco shell. Service was slow and food was terrible. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Go get a burger or pizza. Not worth it

Friendly staff and quick service at this little joint. Chips and salsa are served first – I could have used a bit more flavor in the salsa but didn’t stop me from eating a bowl of it. I ordered the Paul’s Peppers and it was pretty good. Again, I like a bit more seasoning so the meat could have had more flavor but was still tasty.

My boyfriend and I are picky eaters. We were going to play it safe and eat subway but since it was close we decided to give it a try here. I’m so glad we did! The burgers were amazing and the staff was so friendly. We ended up eating dinner there both nights we stayed in town.

Great place with lots of homemade, fresh food. Dave’s burrito is really looked. Crispy taco shells appear to be made on site rather than the premade stuff. If your in the area, it is definitely worth stopping in.

We went there on Monday, not too busy. We had late lunch around 3PM and that was the only restaurant open at that time in Leakey. It’s 15 minutes drive from the Garner State Park. There is an outside sitting arrangement. Fajita platter was 3 out of 5. Beef Nachos was 3 out of 5. Beef tacos was 4 out of 5, those taco meats were juicy and tastes good. Nice place to eat, not fancy. I guess they don’t have enough servers, we sat outside and nobody was around after we got the food. Male Restroom was very small and not clean. They have plenty of parking but the parking place has lots of big potholes. Be careful when you park. We went there as there was no other option available at that time.

Great little restaurant. Salsa was great. They use some charred tomato in the salsa so it has a good flavor. Everything we ordered was good and they were easy to accommodate any changes we wanted to the items on the menu. The service was good for a small place and they were very busy. Overall a goods family restaurant, with good food, and lovely staff. We will be back next year for sure.
