Amazing food, chill atmosphere, and friendly waiters. My favorite dish was the beef noodle soup with a sweet yet savory broth and tender beef chunks. The duck taco was an interesting menu items the blew me away. Would come back again.

The food was absolutely fantastic, but you know what? It could’ve been terrible, and it wouldn’t have mattered one bit because we had Carlos (I think that was his name), the sweetest waiter ever! Seriously, I think he could make cardboard taste like gourmet cuisine with his top-notch service. It’s the kind of service you wouldn’t expect in the heart of the Big Apple. If the owner has any sense, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep Carlos around as long as they can if they want to keep their customers grinning from ear to ear. This guy deserves a raise that’s out of this world and enough praise to fill a book!

We had the largest table, the staff at the restaurant was polite in-spite of the fact that my friends were late to arrive. Not something we get to see in NYC.

What a fun concept, to build your own mala dry pot.

Was in town for a short trip and came here on a whim. Tried dry pot for the first time and am super glad this was the spot I had that experience at! The staff was helpful in gauging portion size and super friendly. The beef tenderloin, pork belly and enoki mushroom were delicious. Oh, and the beef wrap as an appetizer was great. Overall, a great experience and a strong recommend if you are in the area.

One of the worst dry pots I’ve ever eaten in NYC. Food is very salty, medium spicy is hardly spicy at all (less spicy than mild at most dry pot places). One star for the relatively fresh ingredients.

Mala Project is some of the tastiest food in the city. It’s a great place to bring an out of town friend who wants to try something new.

Amazing authentic Chinese cuisine for an affordable price – this is the place for you if you like spice. Ordered the Liang Fen and build your own Dry Pot (麻辣香锅)- both were delicious. For the dry pot, I recommend adding rice cakes, glass noodles, enoki mushroom and bamboo shoots, along with any of your favourite protein. The fish cakes were okay.
