A new favorite for sushi around Denver. Everything was plated beautifully. The smoked dish at the end was impressive enough to cause multiple tables to ask “we’ll order whatever that was!” The owner was kind enough to stop by and check in on us. And the price point for quality was unbeatable.

Truly the best sushi place in the Denver area, with fish flown in from Tokyo and other primary sources. There are three types of omakase (chef’s choice) in addition to a host of a la carte options. We chose the top tier omakase ($120, special occasion) and were blown away by the uniform high quality plus the clever individualized seasoning of each piece of fish (24 pieces or dishes per person). Especially noteworthy was the seared o toro (fattiest part of the tuna belly), foie gras sushi, Wagyu A5 and uni sea urchin.

Had a fantastic meal at Makizushico. I highly recommend getting the premium omakase with a delicious bottle of sake.

Best sushi experience I’ve ever had! A business colleague and I went here on a Thursday night to experience the Omakase (Chefs choice dinner). To preface…. I’ve been to many sushi restaurants throughout my life and my colleague has eaten sushi in Japan a dozen or so times. So needless to say we had high expectations. The quality of the fish is top notch and presentation is perfect. The price however is a bit of a shocker but still worth it. $80 per person for the basic omakase then it goes up from there. Keep in mind that this experience is truly and authentically Japanese so you won’t get Wasabi with your dinner. Great overall experience and the food is absolutely amazing. Yum!

Will be back soon! Phenomenal top to bottom, as a chef to come in and see such a clean open kitchen, staff that was focused and detail oriented. Every dish that came out left the palate with more to be desired. Presentation and flavor balance was absolutely superb. Service as a whole was over the top. Very pleased with my visit and plan on stopping in again soon. Chefs all did an exemplary job.

We had a fantastic experience! This is probably the best meal I’ve had in Denver. Recently having returned from Japan we had high expectations and they delivered. You have to get the Omakase (chefs special). We got the lowest of three tiers and it was still phenomenal. The staff is so friendly and explained each food item to us. The sake shots were flowing! Ugh I can’t wait to come back with more friends.

Our new favorite local sushi spot. Food and atmosphere is amazing. Takoyaki and salmon belly are some of our favorites to order when we go. Definitely recommend 10/10

By far some of the best sushi we have ever had! Staff was super friendly, the place was clean, and the food was phenomenal. The Mango Roll was our favorite! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Great chefs, quality sushi and other items, fantastic service. Only gripe is just the 3 or so tables at the entrance get swashbuckled with cold air during cold months because people are coming and going with regularity – no buffer zone.
