The Elevator and Airplane Finder
This is a fantastic little dive joint right here in Downtown Evansville! They have a very large menu with lots of different American classics. I got the catfish sandwich with fries and it was awesome! The only reason I deducted a star is because my sandwich bun was a bit soggy and not toasted. The fries I had on the side were excellent too! Overall, this was a good joint that we ate at.

Hamburgers and fried food. We didn’t really like the seasoning on the burger. No fountain drinks – only cans. No bathroom. The fries were good and hot.

Can’t say enough good about this place. The owner is awesome and makes everything with a passion. We talked to him and he is always trying to come out with something to please his customers. The grilled chicken sandwich is killer and the buffalo chicken tenders are literally the best I have ever had… love seeing this place do well!

Southwest Philly was just ok. No public restroom (im a big fan of washing my hands before and after i eat)….they had no clean tables really and the seats needed some reupholstering…they were out of lemonade and hi-c…a sign on the door warned of a 4% surcharge for card users (not sure if that is high or normal)…kinda skimped on the amount of fries (thats ok bc they really werent good)… two old deep fryers in the corner…the place seemed a bit run down…maybe they should just offer take out? Over all i’d say it was a major bummer… Try Bru Burger or lic’s icecream just down the street for a much better expirience.

Lesser known gem to those who don’t work in the downtown area. Food was delicious, got the double patty melt combo with fries. Establishment could use some updates. Menu on wall was corrected by hand, soda machines didn’t work, took orders by hand and upcharge for using card. Space was not very large, somewhat limited seating.
