We came here on a trip, we need it a place to have lunch, there is a lot to be improved, our party of 5 had a couple of sushis, the ones with rice we didn’t enjoy or liked, the rice was tasteless, slimy. The others weren’t too bad, as far as beverages they don’t carry many options, make sure to ask for water bottle and not tap water. I always said that when you go to a restaurant, the restrooms reflect the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, although they look clean, You can get acquainted and have a conversation with the next toilet person, with no privacy, I guess it is like that where they come from; I wonder why whenever they come or go to other countries they don’t adapt and integrate, instead they want to impose their own retrograde culture behavior. Conclusion: I won’t come back, and if I am near, I’ll try somewhere else.

My wife and I were staying in town for a long weekend running down to the beach.

There isn’t anything on the menu that’s “average” or “iffy…” Their sushi is prepared to order, and ALL OF IT is incredible… Noodle or rice dishes will feed two people, or you’ll have leftovers dirty yourself tomorrow… When you get ready to pay n’ leave, don’t forget to grab a handful of mango candies…

Staff is very friendly and made sure everything was right. They checked on us to make sure the food was good, it wasn’t, it was great! Ordered the Pork Katsu, Spicy Tuna sushi roll, Gyoza and Combination Japanese Fried rice! All was cooked amazingly, came out fresh and tasted great. The ginger scallion sauce they had was super spicy! Would recommend trying this place out. Prices were quite reasonable.

Never had fancy ramen before, but it was really good, and the Winnie roll was freaking awesome. Waitress/service was on time. Very little atmosphere, but who cares when the food is great.

With a home in Houston and family in New Orleans, we make a lot of drives on I-10, and stop for meals along the way. Not many are more modest looking from the exterior than Maiwoo Kitchen on Exit 829.

Unexpected find along the highway in east Texas! Honestly though, why shouldn’t there be great sushi in east Texas? Get the pepper tuna salad, and you’ll be asking your favorite sushi bar at home to make it.

My Boba smoothies were made first and left on the counter melting while I awaited my food to be started so I asked if they could be put in the freezer. Portions of soup and the rice were very small and steak had no flavor. Also the veggies had a funny/nasty taste. Asked for white sauce and when I called back was told they don’t have white sauce instead of while I was there. Would have changed my order if I knew up front. No masks were worn by staff or patrons. From out of town and my daughter has a blood disorder so it was alarming. No other asian restaurant in Winnie, TX but next time will make the drive to Beaumont. After spending over $50 I am highly irritated and disappointed. The dumplings are delicious and Boba smoothies taste ok. Steak was cooked medium like I like and fried rice was good but small.

Walked in hit with cigarette smoke, the csr wasn’t very helpful with substitute suggestions. Family went to car while I went to restroom. It had 3 toilets all next to each other with no partition. This use to be hunan and the restaurant never looked this bad. Our food was tasteless, the rice was hard and the beef was weird and tough! Very upset I chose to try this location. Hunan was better. Save $ by going to Beaumont, Mt. Belvieu or Baytown!
