Food was ok. Place was almost empty but we were only given the option to sit in a table for two at the back. Tables for two are way too small for 2 meals plus drinks and condiments. Food took about 30 minutes to arrive. We weren’t asked if refills were needed and our waiter never visited out table other than to take the order and bring us the meals. Food portions are too small for the price but presentation was good

Hands down, marvelous place to eat in McAllen. The place gets pretty crowded so a reservation in advance is highly recommended. We came here for brunch, since we heard that they have Macaroons with special flavors like Mole or tamarind, which unfortunately are seasonal, but anyway we decided to try out a couple of dishes and some Macaroons. To drink we got a Mimosa and a Cold brew (made of Coffee from Chiapas, Mexico), both were extremely good. To eat we got the Barbacoa plate which was mixed with potatoes and a green salsa to die for and a couple of eggs on top (we asked them to be overeasy), it was extremely good . Moreover we got the Burger brunch which had a Wagyu patty and an overeasy egg as well, it came with a side of choice so we decided to get the normal french fries and OMG, best fries I’ve ever had (seriously), they were just cooked at the perfect point, not too salty, lightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every single item was perfectly cooked and really well balanced in terms of flavors, without mentioning that the presentation was also very nice. As dessert we decided to get the macaroons, they had some interesting flavors, such as Lavander, Chiapas Coffee, Dark chocolate, Flaming Chocolate (which was some sort of smokey slightly spiced chocolate), goat cheese, red velvet and pistachio, all of them were pretty good although our favorite ones were goat cheese, dark chocolate and Lavander. Definitely we’ll come back next time we visit McAllen.

Great food and okay environment. Someone was taking our photos without our permission for their Instagram.

Great wide selection of brunch plates. Try the poached eggs n biscuits. The nashville hot chicken n waffles was decent – fresh but not crispy like one would expect. A softer, pillowy fried chicken and not really spicy. Good exotic macaroons!

Great atmosphere, service, and food. We had the Carbonara pasta, and it was delicious! This was my first time here, and I’m certain I’ll be back to try other menu options. The decor is so cute, and we were told we could order brunch or lunch (11am). They also serve mimosas.

This place is absolutely adorable and the food is great but where they really shine is their EVENTS. Daisha their event coordinator is literally amazing. She was always available when I had questions and is also an extremely talented photographer. She is such an organized and sweet girl. I hosted a baby shower for a friend in May and I was SO impressed with how friendly and accommodating their staff was. If you need to do an event somewhere and you want something beautiful and organized have it here!!!

I had the Nashville hot chicken and waffles, chicken was spicy which I loved. The waitress was great.. attentive and even took time to explain the meaning behind the name of the restaurant. The pastries we ordered to go were delicious as well. My husband and I went on a week day, no wait time. Note from my husband, they know how to poach their eggs. Oh yes, the coffee was perfect./ Stopped by again on a week day, 10 months later according to my last post, and it was still good..added more pictures.

The atmosphere was lovely, the crab cakes were yummy…you must try! The service was bad. There were only 2 people working the dining room. Had to wait to be seated, place was half empty and they took some time to seat us. The waitress careless. She was in a hurry to do everything and did it poorly. It’s a bad reflection of such a great little restaurant. The owners should invest and train staff to serve properly.

They had the BEST Americano, hot coffee I’ve ever tasted. It’s brewed from freshly ground beans from Chiapas, Mexico.
