Not sure how they still have a good rating… my husband & I just came back from a weekend getaway and didn’t feel like cooking. Figured why not get take out Chinese and relax at home. We should have just went somewhere we already know. This place is the highest rated in all of Salem and it shouldn’t be. Half way thru eating my husband put it down to make a HOT POCKET! That’s how nasty this food is! He much rather eat a bland hot pocket than this food! Crab ragoons – full of grease to make your stomach turn.

This food is absolutely disgusting. I got sweet n sour chicken and it was hard and the noodles were gross. Everything was extremely greasy and when I called them about it the guy couldn’t understand anything I was saying at all. I don’t know how this place has 4 stars. That can’t be real.

Google and Salem Main Moon’s website clearly says they close at 11pm. I put in an online order at 10:15 and got there at 10:30 to see that they were closed. When I called the next day, they refused to refund me or make my order basically saying “not my problem. Store closes at 10, last order should have been put in at 9:45.”

Main Moon’s food is really good but there are some things to be careful about when deciding what to order there. First of all, their egg drop soup has the consistency of snot. Second, I decided to get wonton soup while I was sick with Covid last year. Now, I’ve never had problems with their wonton soup and it’s usually really good. But when I got to the very bottom of the container, there was a dead fly at the bottom

After spending 20 minutes deciding what I wanted online, i called. Apparently their isn’t online and someone else randomly posted their menu and prices as I was told for this restaurant. I always write my order on paper and add it up to have the money ready prior. After receiving the food and paying for it, the order was about $12 higher than what was acknowledged. The store employee never told me that. That is major increase, and I regret to hand my money over, because I asked twice for the employee to repeat what he said & he refused to even look at me while talking to me as he mumbled again. Food was very bland.
