Solid 4.5 stars. Slight deduct due to one or two dishes that were a miss and others where portion size was a tad light. The Stir Fried Calamari ($11) was a miss as it was both small in size and mediocre in flavor. Skip. The Famous Szechuan Chicken Dumpling ($9) was average. Sauce was decent but six small dumplings left us feeling underwhelmed. “Xiao Long Bao” orders (2 @ $9) were very good but on the small side and thus light on the wonderful soup that makes these so desirable. Definitely order one if not two orders. Mah-Jong Orange Beef ($21) is a must! Flavor, texture, and plating were all spot on. We came here to celebrate Chinese New Year have a nice dinner since it is very close to where we moved recently. We started with the Hong Kong Style Wonton Soup. I had the Stir-Fried Chicken Breast with Broccoli, and my wife had the San Bei Shrimp and Broccoli. While there were not many people there, we enjoyed our dinner. Very comfortable atmosphere and the service was good, but the food was a little bland, not quite what we expected from a Chinese restaurant.

Walked into the restaurant at 7:30 pm. Apparently they close at 8:00 on Wednesday. We were told we could only be seated if we could order quickly and eat fast. I’ve enjoyed their food multiple times, but this was incredibly rude. We of course turned around and walked out. Won’t be going back any time soon.

Ordered several appetizer and menu items. The cold sesame noodles were very good and something most restaurants around here don’t serve. The pork dumplings with special sauce were excellent. Staff was very fast and attentive. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely return

I had the wok fried seafood trio which was superb! My wife had the old way sweet and sour chicken which I tasted and loved also. Andrew was the waiter and he is very knowledgeable about the menu. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the DFW area. We highly recommend!

Exceptional and authentic Chinese cuisine!! When we moved here from San Jose, we were disappointed with the restaurants that claimed Chinese cuisine. Five years later we have found a gem! The texture of the xiao long bao is soft and delicate, the flavor profile of the soup and meat is sweet and savory. The orange chicken was absolutely exquisite and aromatic. It was not sticky and syrupy nor tart. The yu Xiang chicken was delectable and full flavored. I am so pleased with the authenticity of the cuisine and the freshness of the veggies! I highly recommend Majong Chinese Kitchen for a genuine Chinese cuisine experience!!
