In the area and took a chance on this place, a lovely terrace looks out over the golf course but we ate inside. Fish & chips was very good, others enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was great but one problem is that she works alone and it seems the kitchen is understaffed too, it took about an hour for our food to arrive. Way too long. Otherwise a pleasant experience.

A beautiful spot with great outdoor seating. Our food was good, it would have been better if they hadn’t forgotten our children’s orders. Our service was poor. The table that came in after us was greeted and received water immediately. I had to ask twice (we also had to ask for our bill twice). My salad was served with no dressing. Not a huge deal but the server started blaming others rather than simply getting the dressing. My husband’s water was refilled but the server walked away prior to refilling mine. A couple entered well into our time there. They ate and left before we got our check (different server). It was a long, frustrating meal. I’ll add that the kid’s menu is verbal so we ordered not knowing the prices … it was very expensive for what they were served.

We were originally planning on going to the Gastropub on the same property but unfortunately, they were booked for the night. They told us about this place which was right next door. Since we were passing by and we’re starving, we decided to give it a try. The place is pretty nice with nice views. There was only one table there which was a bit concerning. Our waitress was very nice and the food came fast. Everything was surprisingly good! The clam chowder was made from scratch. The appetizers were really big and could totally pass for full meals. Overall great experience!!!!

Delicious food… awesome views… and even nicer service! We met Gavin the owner and had a lovely waiter. We can’t wait to come back! It is our new favorite spot for whenever we come back to the gunks. It’s amazing having nice service!! Thanks again Gavin!

Pleasantly busy, with cheerful and engaged staff. Well organized and efficient, with minimal time lost to waiting. Beverage order was prompt to arrive, and no feeling of being rushed to order our meal. The food was good and to our liking. Not fancy, nor did we expect it to be. Good fare. Good service. Good price for us. Thank you for a great experience.

Garvin’s had no availability and recommended their sister site, Maggie Mae’s. Stated it was more casual -it is. Not homey, like Garvin’s. I guess it’s a good “19th hole”.

Would recommend the Penne A La Sambuca. Very good with chicken. Great waiter and beautiful if the weather’s right.

First you’ll love the view then you’ll learn that the service is friendly and accommodating then you’ll have the food that is so good completely matching the service and the view! We will definitely comeback here next time we’re in New paltz! The classic chowder is a must try!

Maggie Mae’s hosted our annual Delphic Fraternity reunion this past weekend and were excellent communicators to begin with. We called and emailed 8 other venues throughout New Paltz and none of them would even respond to us aside from Maggie Mae’s and McGillicuddy’s. We went with Maggie Mae’s as it was more of a private venue for dinner, and we knew we would end up at McGillicuddy’s for drinks later into the evening.
