The family and I decided to take a small road trip fo Tallassee after hearing about Mae Pops BBQ. We had an incredible experience. The food was fresh and they offered to let us try their different meats, each of them were spectacular. my wife got the BBQ loaded Mac and cheese and I got the brisket sandwich. The owner was also kind enough to let me see his smokers and glean some advice for my own at home smoking. This BBQ is worth the drive and the service cannot be beat!

The food is so incredible we literally drive nearly an hour to go treat ourselves with the brisket sandwich. You cant go wrong with the M&M sauce and go ahead and get some stew and banana pudding. No need to thank me.

An absolute 10, I’m generally pretty hard on BBQ joints as I’m a low and slow smoker myself but this is the real deal. We saw the line up and decided we needed to be in that line. The orders we taken quickly and the food came out fast. The lunch nachos were some of the best I’ve had, a great blend of sauce, cheese, coleslaw, everything came together great. The pulled pork was tender and tasty as was the Mac and cheese. Very glad we stopped by and although I’m only in the area for a few weeks I’ll definitely be back. We’ll done
