Good pizza, and fairly good in house Italian food in general(even though most of it is prepared/frozen, then rewarmed. Sadly MHP probably has the rudest customer service in the business. This is an authentic Italian family owned business, but as an Italian myself, they are just plain rude, unfriendly, and sort of act like they’re doing their customers a favor by being open. Don’t expect kind and generous Italian hospitality here, expect to sit on hold for several minutes, while you place your order, listening to other customers being served rudely. Expect to be treated like the # they give you for your order, and have them expect a tip for that kind of service. This business could make soo much more money if they actually cared. On top of it, they have no online or social media presence, and their hours pretty much change on a whim, or when/if they decide there isn’t enough business or just want to go home.

Food was dripping in grease. You could lift up the pizza and watch it drip off. Taste wise is was good. Definitely not a place for those on a health kick. I didn’t eat much but it was good.

My favorite place for pizza! I have gone there for years. I didn’t know how good their pizza really was until I got out, and tried many other places around. There dough is still the best, and crunchy crust is what I like that they do. Their pizza sause taste so good than others out there. Their cheese you can taste compared to other pizza places. This is the #1 pizza place for a quality pizza, and always will be!

This is our go to take out spot! The staff is really friendly and knows our favorites. It’s nice to have a takeout place that feels like home. I’ve even had them remind me of my salad preference so I don’t go home with olives on my salad and no extra onions, extra blue cheese and extra bread.

First let me say do not believe the menu posted online as when I got there they tried to charge me twice as much for the pizzas I had ordered as their menu declares. Then they tried to tell me “oh no we don’t have anything online” . As if the doubled price was not bad enough, when we got home the pizza was barely edible. I had six teenagers in my house and they couldn’t even eat one large pizza. So it got thrown away .I would have been better off going to the grocery store and getting a frozen pizza . It would have been a better quality.

It had been 2 years since my last visit. I walked in the door and the woman behind the counter goes “I don’t have anything that’s extra mushroom!” Two years and she still remembers what I used to order when I lived in town. I love this place and all of the people in it. The food is always good. I literally drive 40 minutes to get pizza from here sometimes because “There’s no taste like home”.

If you’ve tasted one House of Pizza in Maine, you’ve essentially tasted them all. And if you’ve tasted one, you’ll want to taste them all. It’s yummy. Some of the best pizza in the state. Highly recommended. Just don’t go to this one near closing time. They were pretty grumpy about that. Minus 1 star for that.
