Madcap is an incredible restaurant in Marin County. Michelin star rated with a minimum of 10 course tasting menu that is to die for. It’s an Asian American fusion and the menu changes with the seasons so you will always have a different experience. Every dish on the tasting menu will leave you breathless. Definitely a must try and it’s on the cheaper side for a Michelin star restaurant. I loved the at atmosphere, very moody. Take your special someone there if you are into Asian style cuisine. You won’t regret it.

It was a great experience and pleasure dining in Madcap. I and my friend loved every course and could see the efforts for making perfect fusions among different cuisines.

Let’s talk about the bright side first: the dry aged ribeye was good. The atmosphere was good. The service was OK despite its 20% service fee.

Tgis was an amazing experience! The atmosphere and details from the wood finish to the mushroom-y ceramic coffee cup and plate tied together this fine dining experience. Each taste plate served was visually appealing with flavor to match!

Disappointed by the fact that I let them know three times ahead of my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and even at some point discretely during the dinner, and they forgot to bring the candle, even though they had assured me on the phone that they would do so. When you travel 1.5 hours to the restaurant and save up to dine there, you would expect a little care for each customer. When we arrived at the restaurant, a woman greeted us coldly and did not even acknowledge our reservation.

Delicious food! There were about 12 courses which is amazing, especially at that price. The sea bass dish was a delightful bite! The desserts were yummy!

The food is a delicious fusion of French and Japanese. Each course is meticulously prepared and exploding with flavor. Does not disappoint. Reasonably priced and cozy atmosphere. Service is also 5 stars.
