After a busy day, we decided to let MAD taco be on dinner duty. Always amazing food, always excellent service! Thank you Peter and crew for such an amazing restaurant; we love it when MAD taco is on dinner duty!

Prepare for explosions of flavor. Mad Taco is among my favorite restaurants in College Station. The tamale bread tortillas are perfection and the margarita flights are game changing. New flavors of tacos and margaritas are introduced monthly/seasonally and rarely disappoint. This may not be the best venue for the pickiest of eaters; the children’s menu is a safe place for those that are hesitant. I would not hesitate in recommending Mad Taco as definitely worth visiting while in Bryan/College Station.

Mad Taco has a lot going for it, good vibe, decent food and flights of margaritas. They were short staffed the day we went, but I forgive them, it was graduation week at A&M (the reason for our visit).

Tried the new location w friends when we were n town…overall a good experience and we enjoyed the patio n the evening after sunset. I gave 4 stars as the system of service is a bit clunky…w lots of hand offs where are server clocked out and from there it was a bit of a mess trying to figure who had charged what to which register….and it was weird to b at ur table and have them demand ur card just to put ur dinner order in. I really enjoyed the creative Rita offerings, especially the grapefruit option…but try it w salt on the rim, not sugar as it is sweet enough already. The chips are a bit of a letdown as they r thick but not at all fresh and crispy… a bummer since the queso is tasty…my favorite taco was the blackened shrimp w the tamale tortilla…very yummy! Sadly I forgot to take a pic as everyone was chatting and having fun trying different drink options!

Tacos and frozen margaritas are so insanely flavorful. Only two vegetarian options for tacos, but they were both 10/10. Would like to see a rotating vegetarian special so there could be a little variety. Tamale bread is king.

I really want to like Mad Taco. Really really want to. Good location, nice patio… and we keep trying it over and over again thinking this time will be right. Our shrimp tacos are always cold and greasy. I’m talking over nine times we have tried. Yesh, we should have learned. Tried the taco fries, they were cold and greasy as well. The menu has shrunk too, not many options for vegetarian dishes. It’s just, well, consistently bad. I hate leaving a bad review for someplace I loved in the past.

I’ve been going here for years, and it’s now just over priced. Plus a 5$ beer came in a 10oz glass. Robbery. And when I asked about it because I’ve been served pints before the employees blew me off. I’m not giving them anymore of my money.
