I sometimes come to town to do conventions. The last time I was in town, one of the locals brought me some fish from here so this round I thought I would have some more. Clearly something was different. This was not the same thing he brought me at all. All they did was take one piece of basa and cut it into little nuggets. I’m a full grown person. As a full functioning restaurant that serves the minority community, y’all should know that macaroni and cheese should go in the oven. If you are not going to put it in the oven, you do not serve it to the public or rats for that matter. Greens, they need to have something in them, SOMETHING!!! They sell this thing called Greens Seasoning. You can get it at a myriad of stores. Whomever is in charge, should look into that. I can honestly say that the cucumber salad was decent. It was not five star but, I would choose that before I would have the macaroni or greens. Last thing, cut back on the salt on the fish. You can have flavor without HBP!!!

The food isn’t the same as what I’m accustomed to from the Mad Jacks in KCK on State avenue. The hush puppies which are my favorite were NOT tasty. The recipe is off. I had my mouth ready for nothin.

I didn’t realize how much I like fried catfish with hot sauce until trying Mad Jack’s. Now I’m addicted! The fish is battered and seasoned to perfection.
