MACONDO is special. The empanadas are made to order. The meats are tender and saturated with flavor. MACONDO challenges pizza for the title of “best the day after and left out on the counter”

Macondo Colombian Fusion is the ideal restaurant for many different occasions. I think food is a way to express love and share with others, I love being able to bring a taste of Colombia in the Bay Area anywhere I go. It’s hard to describe each ingredient because they’re characterized by the richness in diversity but one think I can tell it’s all their options are made with amazing freshest ingredients. Here’s a picture of the “Quesabirria Arepa” —> Cheesy Birria with pickled red onion, Carrots, Cilantro and Consommé.

Trust me on this: Order the chicken arepas, the spinach/ beet salad and the red beans. It’s a very healthy and tasty meal that should leave you energized. This place is also a great grub source for the bar across the street. Apparently the local dispensary customers haven’t discovered it yet. If they had, there would be a line around thre block.

Delicious food and we are looking forward to returning many times in the future. We tried the Maite, Banh Mi and Choclo arepas, beef empanada and the plantain side.

We need more variety like Macondo Colombian Fusion in Alameda. The food is great and prices are right for their combos. I think they just opened and still getting a hang of increasing the speed of service.

This place is legit! Ate here for lunch. The shop itself is small. The servings are also small so be sure to order extra if you’re hungry. Would happily eat here again.

Lovely, women-owned shop with delicious arepas! The place is small but seating (a bench and two chairs) is available. The bahn mi arepas are popular. Quesabirria arepas are my favorite.
