I am literally writing this review while we sit and wait and wait and wait for our food. Our drink order was completely forgotten, and then once we inquired about it, the drinks were made incorrectly. The silverware is filthy, and as seen in the photo the restaurant is too. It wasn’t even busy and our waitress was barely out waiting tables. The quesadillas came deep fried? With some sort of drizzle on them? The sign on their front door scolded us about how there is a labor shortage and no one should be upset about bad service, but no part of our experience had anything to do with a labor shortage. The staff they currently have are the issue. Very disappointing. We will not be back.

Want to share our wonderful experience at MacKenzie River Pizza in Polson, Montana… First, the food was incredible, huckleberry goat cheese salad was great, the pizzas were absolutely incredible (do the traditional crust with any pizza combo!), and a “must have” is the Doc Holliday for desert! Also a huge shout out to the manager Lesley, who is a complete professional, runs a tight ship, has eyes in the back of her head —is an absolute joy to talk to! Another big shout out to our bartender Cortney who is so much fun and made our experience extra enjoyable! Thank you to the entire crew for a wonderful dinner and experience!

Service was a little slow but definitely understandable given that staffing appeared to be a little short that night (our waitress had numerous tables and was helping behind the bar as well). My wife and I are full time RVers and are spending the summer in this wonderful area. Recently, we decided to try a local establishment to celebrate her seventieth birthday. After doing some research online we drove to MacKenzie RPG to have a leasurely lunch in the bar. We were greeted and seated in the bar at a nice table to settle in and celebrate. After taking our seats we were shockingly ignored by the entire staff without another word being spoken to us. Could this be deliberate??? Several servers walked right past our table without even a glance in our direction. The restaurant was relatively quiet, so this wasn’t a result of being understaffed. Finally, in disgust, my wife looked at me and said “We are leaving now!”. This has been the only negative experience we had since we have arrived. This completely threw a “wet blanket” on what I hoped would be a special day. Shame on you!!!
