Ate here on a work outing and everybody loved their dishes. I got the steak tacos and they were huge! They’re very generous with their portions. The service could have been better. There was a long wait for our food.

It wasn’t busy when I visited this place.I was seated right away and the service was prompt. While I was deciding what to get, I was given a bowl of chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were amazing. I love how the chip were so thin and crispy and it was complemented by the salsa.

We just stopped by to try the flight of margaritas, but the bartender recommended the handmade larger ones instead of the premade flight. Probably a good idea, we had the Prickly Pear and the Arizona Sunset.

Haven’t had Macayo’s in over 5 years since the one in Tucson went out of business. Always loved the baja sauce.

This location in Tempe is my favorite. The food, service and atmosphere is great. We always sit at the bar, we don’t even drink, but it seems to be quicker, more prompt service.

Did a quick carryout from Macayo’s while staying at the adjacent hotel. The mini chimichangas were delicious — we tried both the chicken and the steak. The enchilada dulces dessert was quite good but would certainly have had more panache if we’d been dining in. This opportunistic meal left us very well satisfied. (since it was carryout I can’t really rate service or atmosphere, but the gentleman who got me my order was quite friendly).
