My wife and I enjoyed every thing about this restaurant! Had about a 45 min wait on a Friday night which was perfect amount of time to have drinks at the rose bar. Dinner was nothing short of amazing, will definitely be back!

If there was a Sixth star this restaurant, chef and amazing wife would get it across the board. I have been fortunate enough to have experienced the original Macaluso’s in Miami Beach over 20 years ago. Back then, Chef Michael was as talented as he was brave. No printed menus. Verbal only. 100% scratch cooking. It was a rare combination of authenticity and warmth. The food was the best. Frank Sinatra playing loud, servers who had knowledge of food, simple but delicious homemade desserts. The beginning of what has become, in my opinion, a legacy from Staten Island…and a legend in the making. No kidding.

The bartender made us excellent drinks, Watermelon Mule and an Orange blossom Martini. The atmosphere is great, and while the wait staff were friendly and reasonably efficient, they were not trained on the menu and wine pairing. We gave them suggestions. The menu could be laid out a bit more clearly as we thought the order would come Italian style, Primo, secondi, etc. Only primo came, and it was an excellent dish, Staten Island sausage. The meatballs had a lovely taste, slightly overcooked and the broccoli was a bit weird – bitter taste. The Buttoni and peas were good, we could easily make this ourselves.

Stopped here for dinner during a recent visit to Aiken. The inside dining room was quite noisy, even though it was a week night, so we opted for a table on the small front porch, which ended up being a better choice. Excellent food (a little pricey for Italian), and service was on point. We particularly liked the fact that children under the age of 12 are not permitted to dine there. I would definitely return if we have an opportunity.

Truly OUTSTANDING!!! Was recommended by locals & It made a perfect evening. Husband & wife owned and carrying on their family traditions. He was the chef and she the hostess. The decor and music was perfect for an Italian restaurant. Our food was literally the BEST Italian we’ve ever had. Our waitress(Lorna) was exceptional, was friendly, efficient and made the experience so enjoyable. She said the secret salad dressing was amazing and she was correct. We had the ravioli with the roasted red pepper meatball (delicious) and the sausage with pasta (also great).Bread was excellent. We didn’t have dessert because we were too full. I would definitely recommend & look forward to eating there again the next time we visit Aiken. Restaurant has limited seating (cozy) but they do take reservations.

Didn’t have a chance to have the dinner – maybe one day! But did order drinks at the rose bar upstairs! Terrific atmosphere. Drink selections amazing. Sat on the outside porch enjoying the positive vibes.

Outstanding experience. Authentic Italian recipes made fresh to order in an old southern home. Wonderful atmosphere, intimate dining experience. Delicious entrees and drinks. Do not miss this opportunity without having to travel to Staten Island for the real deal

Absolutely amazing! I am a tough critic and Macaluso’s did not disappoint! Had a drink at the Rose Bar on the second floor while we waiting for our table! The bread is authentic and perfect! Get the ricotta meatballs as an appetizer! If I finish a meatball, you know it’s delicious! I had the Staten Island Rigatoni with chicken Parmesan which is like a lasagna with chicken Parmesan! The chicken is tender and amazing!

Absolutely in love with the restaurant. By far my top favorite in Aiken. There is a no children rule, and I love it. No screaming babies. Just good food, drinks, and company. Great date night place.

My mom and I came tonight for the very first time after seeing House of Gucci, to complete our Italian themed evening. After waiting almost a year to try this place, I must say we left disappointed. Everything in my review will be factual as to not leave room for subjectivity. We started our meal off with the meatball appetizer, which was good, except the marinara sauce was watery ($18.00). We then received our bread basket with one individual loaf of cold, chewy, Italian bread and a plate of olive oil w/ no seasonings. After that we ordered our entree’s, which took approximately 30 minutes to arrive at our table, the rigatoni bolognese ($21.00) had red pepper flakes in it which made it too spicy for me to eat, and the olive oil and garlic pasta ($18.00) had so much garlic it would’ve needed another pound of pasta to balance it out. Finally we received our check and my Diet Coke was $5 per glass (I had 2, so it came to $10), and despite telling the server that we didn’t like the rigatoni and clearly not eating any of it, we were still charged for it. Overall, the restaurant is not set up to create any atmosphere as it is one open room, so it is very loud and hard to have any conversation. The prices are definitely on the high side for Aiken, as well as the quality of the dishes, but the ingredients are among the best, so that may be why. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, as it has some very obvious opportunities, but I wish them the best.
